My experience with the sales team was excellent; Tim Payton was a pleasure to work with. The service from Craig Miller in the Finance Department was an entirely different experience. I purchased a RAV4 Prime and due to their scarcity at this time, I put down a deposit on January 16th for a vehicle that had not yet entered production. When I put down the deposit, I filled out a credit application to see if the dealer could get me a better deal than I could through my bank. I told Craig that I knew I could be a 2.99% interest rate through my bank and that he'd have to do better. He explained that my bank was one of the lenders they worked with and at the least they'd be able to finance the loan through my bank to get me the 2.99% rate. February 17th the car arrives at the dealer and Craig calls me the next day to schedule delivery for February 25th. Now it seems that Craig had done nothing with my credit application over the month he has it while I waited for the vehicle as the only financing option he presented me with was through Toyota at 4.94%! Meanwhile over the last month the rate through my bank had actually fallen to 2.89%. It seems Craig took no notes during our initial conversation and he has no recollection of our discussion about the interest rate - "Nothing was in the folder." It was at this point that I became furious and I chastised him for not taking any notes about our initial conversation. I got in an argument with Craig because he told me I could just refinance the vehicle in a few months to get the better rate through my bank and I had to explain to him that he was costing me more money in the short term because the interest rate was 2% higher. It took a couple of tries before this sunk into his head and to his credit he did take off $100 to mitigate the difference. He was apologetic and stated that he'd just transferred to the Toyota dealership from the group's Kia dealership and he wasn't used to how busy it is but that's still no excuse for his lack of follow through. At this point I had been in the dealership for almost 2 hours with my two young children, ages six and three, and it was past dinnertime and we'd run out of snacks. My plates had already been transferred to the RAV4 and I'd moved all of my stuff over as well. I felt compelled to sign to the terms presented to me as at that point as I just wanted to get out with the new vehicle and get my kids home and fed. I will be refinancing the vehicle as soon as possible and will avoid the internal finance department should I ever decide to purchase another vehicle from this dealer. More

I am the original owner of a 1995 Suburban and it was time to consider a new vehicle. When I arrived at Smithtown Toyota and asked to look at a Sequoia Tim Payton greeted me with a warm smile and open time to consider a new vehicle. When I arrived at Smithtown Toyota and asked to look at a Sequoia Tim Payton greeted me with a warm smile and open arms. Fell in love with the Sequoia right away, and explained to Tim what I was looking for, and what was important to me … Tim invited me back to his desk, looked at his computer and printed out the specks on a Sequoia that was on order from the dealership. As it turns out, it was the color and Trim I liked. No pressure sales, just common sense to go home and look over the information. When I decided to purchase this vehicle, Tim made it very easy over the phone. and kept me updated with the progress of my new vehicle. When it arrived Sean Dietz was very helpful setting up the day and time my vehicle would be prepped and ready, as well as settling up the finances. As it turns out Sean remembered my son who he sold his FJ Cruiser, and is still the original owner. My daughter is also part of the Toyota Family and is currently leasing her beautiful 4 Runner from Smithtown Toyota. Tim Payton and Sean Diez are a great team to work with. I love my Sequoia she is really pretty. And look forward to continue working with Smithtown Toyota . More

Purchasing a vehicle here was a pleasant experience. Tim and Lou were so easy to deal with, explained everything about the car and my options with sincerity and understanding. Working with Sean to work out and Lou were so easy to deal with, explained everything about the car and my options with sincerity and understanding. Working with Sean to work out the finances was also a great experience. There’s no nonsense here; no unnecessary pressure to purchase more than is needed or wanted. I highly recommend this dealership. More

I worked with Tim (as well as Sean from financing, and Alex the sales manager). This was easily the best car shopping experience I’ve had to date. They were all straight to the point (no fluffing and bs t Alex the sales manager). This was easily the best car shopping experience I’ve had to date. They were all straight to the point (no fluffing and bs that I didn’t care to hear), welcoming, and all around just really great people. Very knowledgeable in their expertises, and considerate to my needs. I highly recommend working with Tim (as well as Sean and Alex); terrific men! Will be going back soon for another vehicle for my husband, and we look forward to seeing them again. More

Very happy with my experience today. My salesman, Tim, was excellent. He was very good at explaining everything and making sure I left with the car I wanted. Would recommend to everyone!
