Wonderful experience! Don’t hesitate to visit Long Subaru. This is my first Subaru after being a loyal Toyota owner for over 25 tears. What an absolute delight it was working with Josh Costa in Sales. He was highly professional, knowledgeable and had such a friendly and genuinely kind manner throughout my purchasing experience. The dealership has a very inviting and comfortable environment and everyone there was friendly and helpful. I was very impressed with the Consumer Report on the Subaru’s safety ratings and symmetrical all wheel drive, I visited several dealerships and searched the internet for customer reviews to learn more about the Subaru. I was hard pressed to find any negative feedback. I can’t wait to delve into all the packages offered in the Legacy...ie., eyesight assistance, navigation system, blindspot protection, lane departure feature, automatic breaking and headlights,reverse assistance, cruise control that takes all the hassle out of bumper to bumper driving as it practically does all the work for you. And the frosting on the cake was working with Ray OBrien to set up the financing of the vehicle. There was NO pressure but just an honest assessment of what would be beneficial for my personal financial and practical needs...he was sure to point out any non-essentials to make the financing as manageable as possible at a low and reasonable rate of interest. I would highly recommend Long Subaru to anyone who wants to walk away feeling confident that they have made the BEST decision....not only in choosing the Subaru Legacy Li,itrd bit in choosing the dealership that lets you walk away having made the right choice. My plan is to be. Long-standing and loyal customer to Long Subaru and to my new choice in the Subaru Legacy. First Time Leasee Experience My wife and I were thinking about leasing a safe, all-wheel drive vehicle as we have a new addition to our family and safety is key. We looked into SUVs and wagons as storage was important as well. We went to three dealerships and Subaru was the first. We stopped in on a Saturday morning and were greeted by Kevin Goodrow for a test drive of an Outback and Crosstrek. We were impressed by both vehicles and knew that they were both in contention. Our first impression of Kevin was: pleasant, delightful and knowledgeable. After the test drive, we sat down at Kevin’s desk where he answered more questions and subsequently supplied us with print-outs of lease options. We kindly thanked Kevin and went on about our day. We try not to make impulsive decisions, especially large financial decisions like this. When we stated we were leaving as we wanted to talk about it, Kevin remained delightful and we felt zero pressure. The rest of our day was testing vehicle we wished were the Outback at 2 dealerships we wished were Long Subaru. After that day, we knew the vehicle we wanted, but we wanted to make sure we received the right price. About 5 days after our initial trip to Long, Kevin reached out to us to see if we had any further questions. Kevin knew we were looking for all-wheel drive, so he sent us a video of Subaru’s all-wheel drive history and why it is the best; we thought this was a nice touch and showed that Kevin was actually listening to what we said, not just trying to sell another car. We had mentioned that the vehicle was good, the price just wasn’t there yet. Kevin had his sales manager, Stephen Greer reach out to us. Stephen continued with Kevin’s demeanor of helpful and pleasant. After a few emails with Stephen, we reached an agreed price that my wife and I were happy with. Not once did we feel pressure or uncomfortableness when dealing with Stephen. Our 5 star experience we received with Kevin continued with Stephen. We agreed to the price and were down the next Saturday with cash in hand to finalize the deal. Kevin did some paperwork with us and brought us to Ray Brien in Finance. Ray was our third employee that we were working with and remained pleasant and helpful. This is our first Subaru and 200 miles in, we love it! I do not foresee any reason that we will not remain a customer for a long time. Every aspect of our experience was great. Thank you, Long Subaru! More

Kris is such a gentleman and took plenty of time to let us test drive and ask questions.I drive a '96 Camry and my husband a '03 Tacoma (not 4wd) so before the snow flies,we are hoping to be in an AWD We are still talking at this point but I am VERY impressed with Kris and his sales manager, Stephen Geer. Not "fair" I have been searching for a used vehicle for over 2 months and this was hopefully going to be my last stop in my search. My wife and I have put substantial hours into our search process and have visited over 15 dealerships looking for the right car. This dealership has a one price "true" pricing to avoid headaches in the purchasing of a vehicle. What they fail to mention is that they decide what is "fair" and "true" and will not work with you. I was ready to buy from them all that was needed was an agreed price, I felt that $500 off of the price of the vehicle was more than fair to them, to myself, and in accordance with the market, but they would not budge. Their sales manager even had the audacity to tell me, after I said I was ready to start paper work to purchase the vehicle, "all you have to do is come up $500 to start." I do not know about everyone else, but that does not sound like somebody that wants to sell you a vehicle. I am disappointed that a dealership would talk to a customer like that to get their "true" and "fair" pricing instead of working with them. They let me walk out of their dealership over a 5% difference in my price and their price. Well done...... More

I was in the market for a new Subaru, and called around on a Saturday to 5 different dealers. They had the exact car I wanted, and the second-lowest price. On Monday I went in to buy the car, and the sale on a Saturday to 5 different dealers. They had the exact car I wanted, and the second-lowest price. On Monday I went in to buy the car, and the salesman I spoke to on Saturday (Ed) wasn't there because he doesn't work on Mondays. I made the deal with another Salesman (Kevin) and the GM (Scott), and went back in on Thursday to sign all the paperwork. I made arrangements with Ed to pick up the car at 10AM on the following Monday. Ed said that although he usually doesn't work on Monday, he would come in for the sake of delivering my new car. On Monday I arrived to pick up the car, and neither it nor Ed were anywhere to be found. After about an hour everything was straightened out. Despite the time-consuming process of buying a car from them, they seem to be somewhat more honest than the sorry lot of sleazy dealers I've encountered, which is why I'm not dinging them too bad on the recommendation. Just don't expect super efficiency! More

My wife and I just bought a Subaru Outback from this dealer. We got quotes from multiple dealers using edmunds.com and got the run-around from other dealers (we'll give you a price when you come in, etc dealer. The quote we got from Long was competitive with the other prices we received. I exchanged multiple emails and phone calls with Steve who was very responsive to our requests. We went in once to test drive a car and got good service without much sales pressure (we were test-driving a CRV later that day). At this point we also got our trade-in appraised so we could compare final out-the-door prices with other dealers. A few days later we came in again to test drive a few other cars, including the one we ultimately purchased. That day we finalized numbers and put down a deposit. We got low APR financing through Subaru which took a day, so we came down the next day to sign all of the paperwork and complete the trade-in. Our trade-in price wasn't great, but it was fair, and higher than the price we received from another dealer. The finance manager, Mike, was very pleasant to deal with. He gave us numbers on an extended warranty, but didn't apply any pressure us to buy it (we didn't). There were no other offers for things like undercoating or fabric protection that some dealers use to pump up the profit. We're happy with our purchase and it was a pleasant, straightforward experience. There was no funny business with the numbers or high-pressure tactics. More
