Talked to him about the vehicle, it's features, and price. Roy was very professional, and a pleasure to talk to. No pushy sales talk. He then suggested I drive the car home and keep it over night. Drive it around some more, maybe drive right to the Subaru dealer and compare it to the Forester side by side. So, that's what I did. A test drive is one thing, but driving it around more in different traffic conditions is really the way to go. My wife was pretty much sold at this point. So we brought the car back to Garber the next day and met with Roy's brother, Ryan. Ryan asked us what it would take to buy the car right then. We gave him a price. He left to talk to his manager, came back shortly afterwards, and shook our hands. Deal done. Highly recommend dealing with either Roy or Ryan. Came back two days later to pick up the CR-V. Dealt with Kelli Ophardt in regards to some options and the finance of the vehicle. Turned all the options down, and Kelli did not try to pressure us in to changing our minds at all. Really appreciated that. Another pleasure to work with. I will definitely go to Garber again in the future whenever we make another car purchase. Great dealership! More

Great first purchase of my 2016 Honda CR-V First, Roy Patterson is a great sales representative with Garber! I have never owned a Honda before but I came to realize that my 2003 Ford Taurus ne First, Roy Patterson is a great sales representative with Garber! I have never owned a Honda before but I came to realize that my 2003 Ford Taurus needed to be replaced with almost 107,000 miles on it. I asked those whose opinions I value what I should get based on several family and friends driving Hondas. My mechanic recommended I get a Honda as they require little maintenance. I then researched for close to 2 months before making the decision as to which model I would purchase. You, as the reader, can tell that it's many years since my last new car purchase. When I called Garber Honda, Donna Rodgers answered the phone and when I shared with her what Honda model I was looking at on their web site, she was very helpful in matching me with Roy based on his expertise of the CR-V. After Roy patiently explained the various features on the CR-V, he road with me to test drive the Red Basque Pearl with gray interior EX AWD model I had looked at on line. He was helpful, professional, and didn't pressure me to buy a higher priced model. The EX model came with heated front seats (a plus for winter driving in the Rochester area). When the first price quote was given to me, I showed him the paperwork from Ontario Honda indicating a lower price for the exact same model that I had looked at the week prior. They lowered their price in order "to gain my business". They also gave me $500 off as my husband is a veteran but did not require my husband's signature on the paperwork. When my husband and I went to pick up the car, Roy graciously attached my NYS E-Z pass to my windshield. As I "signed my life away" on all the paperwork, Andy Paris was very helpful in explaining each document. He made the changes I requested of him too. A few days after my purchase, Roy followed up with a phone call to see how I liked my new car. I told him how much I was enjoying it and he answered the few questions I still had about the car. It's no wonder that Garber Honda was named the #1 2015 NYS Honda Dealer based on customer reviews! In an age when customer service, professionalism, and fairness to the consumer is often lacking, Garber Honda is a place I would return in a minute to buy my next car! More

We've owned 3 Hondas in the past ten years, and while I talked to (but didn't visit) the folks at Garber for each of those purchases, we ultimately ended up at another dealership. For this most recent purchase of an Odyssey, I visited Garber and was very pleasantly surprised by the experience! I worked with Roy Patterson who was very personable and informative, especially about leasing. "Negotiating a deal" was where I was maybe most impressed. I had done a lot of homework prior to the visit, and had also visited the dealership where we'd purchased our previous three Hondas, so I had a very good idea of what a "fair deal" would be to lease 2015 Odyssey. Roy's INITIAL offer (e.g. no back & forth drama) was very aggressive! I asked for some more details and was provided ALL the details for the lease deal in writing ... they didn't "hide" anything! This is probably what "sold" me on Garber the most ... as that kind of openness has not been the norm for any of my previous car purchases. Honda car-buyers, you owe it to yourself to at least visit Garber ... I'm really glad I did! More
