The BEST BMW Dealership in MD for both Service & Sales!! After moving to the area about 2 years ago and having an absolutely awful experience at the closest BMW dealership to my house (BMW of Annapolis - the After moving to the area about 2 years ago and having an absolutely awful experience at the closest BMW dealership to my house (BMW of Annapolis - they REALLY suck!!!), I decided I would try another BMW dealership and see if their service department was any better - that's when I found BMW of Catonsville. I called to schedule my first service appointment there and the receptionist seemed friendly and they appeared to be relatively organized. Immediately upon arriving at the dealership, I was greeted before I could even get out of my car by a friendly service assistant who did a quick inspection of my car and then directed me to my service advisor, Ricky Catalan. Ricky is knowledgeable, friendly, down to earth, and very customer service oriented. Ever since that first experience with their service department, the excellent work that has been done on my car, and the OUTSTANDING customer service I have recieved from Ricky, I couldn't imagine taking my car anywhere else! Every time I need to take my car in for service I feel like they roll out the red carpet for me! And since Ricky has been so amazing, it is primarily because of him that I just recently traded in my 2008 BMW 135i for a new 2015 BMW M235i - I couldn't imagine buying a car elsewhere because I wouldn't want to have to get it serviced somewhere else! So of course when I was thinking about getting a new car, I asked Ricky which sales person there I should talk to - and I specifically told him that it had to be someone who wasn't the typical pushy sales guy type - that's when he referred me to Jeff Beck. After always having such a great experience with their service department, I prepared myself for having a crappy experience with the sales department because that's usually the way it works - you have a good experience with one department and a crappy experience with another department because its really rare to find an entire dealership that is on top of their game as a whole. However, I was definitely proven to be VERY wrong about that after meeting with Jeff. I explained to him what I was interested in and he was friendly and knowledgeable, yet very honest about things, which is exactly how a sales person should be! He also went above and beyond to find me the exact car I was looking for so that I wouldn't have to order it and wait 3 months for delivery of it. Much to my surprise, he ended up finding me the exact car I was looking for at another dealership in the area and told me if we worked out a deal that evening, he would personally go get the car that night and I could have it the next day...how awesome is that!?! So we agreed on a very fair value for my trade and I was happy with the deal that we worked out on the new car - I was actually very surprised at how quick and painless the negotiation process was, considering the negotiation process for my first BMW was a nightmare!! This was definitely the BEST experience I have had when buying a car. And just when I thought things couldn't get any better, Jeff introduced me to their BMW "Genius" - Justin Allen - who was insanely knowledgeable and patient when explaining and showing me everything that my new car could do. He even gives his cell # to new customers in case they have an issue with anything and he insists that you can call or text him any time of day and he will gladly walk you through how to help you. It's that kind of personal touch that makes everyone that I have worked with at BMW of Catonsville a valuable asset to their dealership and an absolute pleasure to work with if you're a customer. The other BMW dealerships in the area should really take a few lessons from BMW of Catonsville on how a successful dealership should be run. I HIGHLY recommend buying a car from BMW of Catonsville (specifically from Jeff Beck) and getting it serviced there as well (definitely ask for Ricky) - the best BMW dealership in Maryland by far!!!! More

Error message - Check engine light I had an immediate problem and was able to get a next day appointment. Besides the problem I dropped the car off for, I had been made aware at an ear I had an immediate problem and was able to get a next day appointment. Besides the problem I dropped the car off for, I had been made aware at an earlier date that there was a programming recall on my car. I also listed this service to be done. I dropped off the car using the night drop and I was called the next day with the results of the testing and repairs. My car was ready but I was out of town and i did not pick it up for a few days. I came into pick it up and even though I could have gone to the cashier to get my car, Ricky came over and went over the details of the findings again and sent me on my way. I appreciated the extra attention. More

Why you ask?.... I swore to myself about 6 years ago Why you ask?.... I swore to myself about 6 years ago that I would never buy another BMW..... I bought a new 2007 BMW 530xi from Northwest BMW. The Why you ask?.... I swore to myself about 6 years ago that I would never buy another BMW..... I bought a new 2007 BMW 530xi from Northwest BMW. The experience was so-so at best and the first two times I took it in for service/parts, I was not impressed. I don't even remember the salespersons name. I switched my service to Russel in the same year and was blown away by how nice the service team was and how they would be happy take over my service needs even though I did not buy it there. The lady that I most remember is still at Russel in service. (FYI, I did look at cars at Russel in 2007 but the salesperson someone referred me to was too busy to give me any attention). Anyway, back to my current experience... Rickie Catalan. became my regular service advisor when I needed service after Russel moved to its current location. He has always been very personable and helpful whenever I needed to come in. Probably the most unusual item he and the service team resolved for me was the passenger mirror parking tilt feature. Ultimately they were in contact with factory reps and maybe the factory too. It took some time to resolve, but they did not give up. So over time, Rickie and the service team won me over and my original regrets were replaced with positive thoughts. And although my 2007 still ran great, I saw there was the new BMW 650i Gran Coupe. I couldn't stop looking at it and researching it online. Then came Jeff Beck. I went to Rickie and said i wanted to talk to a salesperson. Although taken aback because the 2007 was running great, he took me to the showroom floor and found Jeff Beck available. First impressions were great and Jeff answered all of my questions and recognized/understood that I was in no hurry and was not concerned if we couldn't do business. And he never did give me any reason to give up on buying. We went on a test drive twice, the second time with my wife. (Had to win her over too and he/we did.). So we were about to make a deal on the 650i GC and Jeff discovered that BMW was about to come out with a new package on the M Sport version. He asked if I could wait a couple of extra weeks for him to order it, it would save me several thousand dollars. Yeah! Sure I could wait! So that we did and Jeff kept me up to date on the production and delivery schedule and I am now the happy owner of a Jeff Beck/Russel BMW 650i Gran Coupe! So here it is, a few days after driving it home, after parking it and leaving to go out of town. Can't wait to get home to start learning all of the new features. Oh! One last note. Prior to realizing the Gran Coupe existed, I went to a Porsche dealer with the thought of test driving one. They didn't even have a demo vehicle! I got the story of how they were dropping the engine size for 2014 and boosting the power of the V6 and I immediately lost interest. Audi's look great but their service history was questionable to me. And I never liked the styling of the Mercedes CLS. Score another win for BMW. Thanks! Bob Reese More
