Hello I am Malainne. I have worked for Herb Chambers since 1994. I started in the auto detailing department part time. In 1995 I was transferred to Cashier | Receptionist. The following year I was promoted to handle accounts payable where I stayed for 15 years. Recently I accepted a position as Service Advisor which I love. I had a 1030 appointment. Almost four hours later I received an absolutely unfathomable estimate for the suggested work on my car. I was not pressured to get the work done an Almost four hours later I received an absolutely unfathomable estimate for the suggested work on my car. I was not pressured to get the work done and the associate was professional and kind. I left the dealership and when I got home I realized someone had left someone else’s keys in my car. I called the dealership and someone was sent to pick the keys up. I left the keys on my car so they could just grab and go but that is not what happened. They grabbed the keys and went inside my car and attempted to start it. I went outside and asked them what was going on. They said they were returning my car to the shop but I left the wrong keys for him. I explained to him this wasn’t the case and it took him a good minute to understand what was going on. I didn’t want him to keep attempting to start my car with the wrong keys. He said no one explained to him what was going on so he just assumed he needed to return my car. Communication could have clearly been better. What a long day. More
