We had an awful experience with Nissan of Richmond. They called us wanting to “buy back” our Nissan Altima & we asked if we could just come in for an appraisal. We walked around the lot and when we came bac called us wanting to “buy back” our Nissan Altima & we asked if we could just come in for an appraisal. We walked around the lot and when we came back in the sales team INSISTED on needing to do hard credit pulls in order to give us an appraisal of my vehicle. I told them absolutely not and that we would not be moving forward without the full appraisal. They continued to belittle us, talk to us like we were stupid, etc. having grown up in the car industry due to my family, this was incredibly disappointing. I cannot recommend calling any other Nissan dealer in the area more. Would not waste any time at Nissan of Richmond. More

Was charged $499 for Total Loss Protection without ever receiving the proper documentation that I am covered by this add on feature. Send message to Dealer via their website. Still waiting on response. I s receiving the proper documentation that I am covered by this add on feature. Send message to Dealer via their website. Still waiting on response. I suspect that this is a problem with management trying to add some extra fees, not the sales person itself. More

Deceptive Internet Advertising...On Carfax and Edmunds (2 I know of) this dealer advertises vehicles with "certified pre-owned 100k warranty" featured on each vehicle photo. The vehicles are exceptionally lo I know of) this dealer advertises vehicles with "certified pre-owned 100k warranty" featured on each vehicle photo. The vehicles are exceptionally low priced...rated as "great deals". When you arrive and sit down to negotiate from the advertised price...you will discover you are actually negotiating from a price several thousand dollars higher. My experience was with a 2019 Nissan Kicks, internet price $13950.00. I went in expecting to pay an additional $1500.00 to $2000.00 for taxes, tags and the normal bogus dealer fees. So around $16000.00 out the door was my expectation. Imagine my surprise to be shown a final out the door price of OVER $19000.00!! I was certainly 'Rocked'. In closing... don't waste your time. I was amazed that this car dealership still uses these tactics. I realize the salespeople have to go by the stealership rules, but our salesman was mainly interested in selling us a new vehicle and ,for the most part, ignored my wife-even after I told him the vehicle was for her. Deceptive ***From the start to the end. Located a used Nissan Kicks , through CARFAX website. Price and mileage great! Fit perfect for what we were looking for. Advertised , GREAT VALUE price,$3,950 below Nissan Kicks , through CARFAX website. Price and mileage great! Fit perfect for what we were looking for. Advertised , GREAT VALUE price,$3,950 below , Carfax value. AT $13,950, with 1,285 miles. Certified vehicle. Not actually loving pictures, of the automobile, due to, not sure if it the paint was faded or just dirty. My husband set up an appointment with dealership. We were giving a time and name. We received several phone calls and text , prior to the appointment , to confirm. Running late , we called to inform salesperson. Upon arrival , we went in , spoke with receptionist. Was ask for driver license , we declined , as so no credit check would be done. Till we decided , if we were to buy. Gave her name of(sales)person, we had been given. She proceeds to make an announcement over PA system, for an available salesperson to the floor. So where was the person ,we had appointment with?? No answer. There was no salesperson available. BTW, we drove two hours to dealership. So, we were shuttled off to a new to his job ,finance person. Who was very friendly. But not able to help us. Finally we were giving a salesperson ,around forty minutes after entering dealership. So at this point , already disappointed. After introductions, told salesperson what we were interested in. First question , was why a used automobile? We stated due to price. He proceeded to push a new vehicle ,at every turning point. He seemed to not know of which vehicle , we were interested in. Told him it was on their website. So he pulls up on his phone. The price stated on their site was higher than Carfax site. I made this statement , and I was totally ignored. The price He stated , was $114, 9?? then , $14,285. Both incorrect. While we were looking at the Nissan Kick , he basically ignored me. Only spoke with my husband. My husband let him know the car was mainly for me. I felt mostly invisible. The car was dirty , no detailing had been done. He did assure us if purchased it would be detailed. Still we didn't come to see a dirty car. There were two other Kicks on the lot . We wanted to look at. He , totally IGNORED this , stated why , this is the better deal. He also stated the color we wanted , the new model had been sold. AND??? We wanted to purchase a ,2019 vehicle. once again. He showed us a NEW red version of the vehicle. I stated I preferred the blue. He then told me , blue was a mans color , red was for women. Really??? He ask if he could run pricing for new and used . We said why not, my husband was trying to be polite. He ran figures for the 2019 Kicks. Using the INCORRECT sales price. The figure , from 14,285 went up $5,000! NINETEEN THOUSAND PLUS! A charge of almost THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS , for vehicle being pre certified. On the Carfax site , it was NO mention of fees for Certified Vehicle Of course there would be fees ,taxes , etc. but when a older model vehicle cost more than a new vehicle??? Also when figures were placed to us , they were not placed between us , where I could see. But handed directly to my husband. He proceeded to push the new vehicle again , of course , this was the plan the entire time. The Nissan Kicks we wanted to purchase , was perfect for us, price style , all except the deceptive , inflated pricing! This vehicle has been at two different Nissan dealership. Remember , 2019. We feel this car , is used for bait , to sell New vehicles. No intention of selling this vehicle EVER! Why were we not shown the other two on the lot? We would have loved to drove this, 2019 Nissan Kicks home! But there was NO GIVE , from them to make it possible! The new vehicle, was lower than the 2019. But still over what we had come in to pay. Deceptive , and disappointing that a Nissan dealership would practice such old , backwards, insulting , car salesman's technique's .This would've been our third Nissan purchase. Sadly , we were left with, how do they run such a dishonest company? I place blame on the Dealership , more than the salespeople . They are trained to make sales in a certain way. SO beware , and ask how does this dealership ,keep getting away with these tactics! More
