I negotiated the purchase of a new Lexus, was satisfied with the price and sat down to have the paperwork done. Conversation with the salesman brought up leasing instead of buying. Leasing would be less wi with the price and sat down to have the paperwork done. Conversation with the salesman brought up leasing instead of buying. Leasing would be less with a special military discount. I thought about it, had never leased a car, would not spend the purchase price etc. OK I'll try a lease. I saw the car and there was a sticker in the window saying, 'the high-performance tires on the car (it is a hybrid) may wear out in 15K miles'. Asked if they could be replaced, there would be a cost. A day later ran the numbers on the lease and I was out much more than purchase. Tried to change the deal. Sorry, too late check has been cut. A week later I see no check. I blame myself for trusting a car salesman. Never again. More
