A little about myself! I'm a military Brat! My Dad was in the Air Force, so we traveled a lot. I lived in Puerto Rico and Guam. I spent four years in the Navy and I'm proud to have served my country. I love when I run across a customer who was in any branch of the military, but more so if they were former Navy! I spent most of my Post Navy career in the food service industry as a Manager. Being a huge people person and after being in customer service for years, makes me enjoy selling cars! I get to talk to people from all walks of life, and I love it!!

Great Customer Service Went to the dealership knowing what kind of car I wanted. I was already pre approved and told them my apr. Horrific, Unprofessional, Sleazy My experience with Joe Machens Hyundai (JMH) is horrific. Five (5) weeks after leaving a substantial downpayment for a Hyundai Tucscon, I do not have My experience with Joe Machens Hyundai (JMH) is horrific. Five (5) weeks after leaving a substantial downpayment for a Hyundai Tucscon, I do not have a title for the car, they have managed 6 different lease/sales agreements, and I do not have license plates since the temporary ones expired last week without JMH doing the necessary work to finish the paperwork. So, I do not have a car I can drive. I find them unprofessional, uncommunicative, and dishonest. I have filled complaints with Hyundai, the BBB, the Attorney General’s office, and the Department of Revenue for this travesty. I will have to sue. Also, they lied about the Pro Pack being added on. They did not detail the car. It arrived dirty on the inside and under the lift. The tires were not inflated properly and the service lights came on around Christmas and some of the fluids were not topped off when I looked under the hood. They also tried to negotiate with the AARP Guaranteed price, which is prohibited. This is the typical sleazy car dealership from old: Sleazy, dishonest, and unprofessional. I would never go here again and would worry about getting any car served there. The worse culprit weeks after the “sale” was the General Sales Manager Robert Meldrum. Much of what he told me was a lie. He told me he would fix the situation and bring dealers’ plates. He said he would compensate me by having the cost of the Pro Pack free and would actually add it on. He said he would have the hitch and a remote starter installed. He said he would give me 4 years of maintenance versus the usual 2. He also said he would send someone with new paperwork last Saturday. No one showed up. No one called. Nothing has been done. I have not heard from him since. So, I write this review because after 5 weeks, Joe Machens Hyundai has failed to correct the situation. And, as of January 11, 2018, I do not have a title, I do not have a car I can drive, my temporary plate expired a week ago. More

Could have done better Positive: I felt like the price for the car I purchased was fair and the price for my trade in was fair. For the most part dealing w Positive: I felt like the price for the car I purchased was fair and the price for my trade in was fair. For the most part dealing with Ed was ok. Negative: The car only came with one set of keys. Our sales rep kept telling us he would check on the other set. We were not told there was no other set of keys until we signed the paperwork. Then we were told it would cost us $200 to get another set of keys. I felt this information was not given to us until after we signed the paperwork. Then to tell us we had to pay the $200 for the extra set was not good customer service at all. I test drove the car for a couple of days. When we brought the care back and signed the paperwork they told us they would kept the car to have it detailed. I think the car just sat in the back until we came back to get it. There was still dirt on the inside of the car. I actually got a towel and cleaned some of the dirt off myself while I was at the dealership. Even though my sales rep said it wouldn't come off. Never got the necessary paperwork to title the vehicle. When I called about this, I finally got a call back 2 days later. I brought the inspection slip as requested back to the dealership so the could send off the title paperwork. I was told I needed to ask for a certain person when I got to the dealership to drop off the inspection slip. I did this and of course this certain person was not there. I was told they would fill my car up with gas for bringing the inspection slip back to the dealership. No one filled up my car with gas while I was there. I am happy with the vehicle I purchased but was not happy with sales experience. Next time if you don't think there is another set of keys be honest up front and not after the fact. Don't tell me you are going to professionally detail my car then give back to me dirty. Scott Turner More
