Engine failed while driving, so I had my car towed to Destination (where I also purchased the vehicle). Within an hour of them opening afterwards, they called to ask me for authorization to diagnose the Destination (where I also purchased the vehicle). Within an hour of them opening afterwards, they called to ask me for authorization to diagnose the problem (mechanic stated car wouldn't turn on, and was probably the engine.) This however would be the only time communication with Destination was easy. Trying to reach out to ask about a loaner car, and to get stuff out of my car, I had to call multiple times to finally get answers. Was eventually told they couldn't do anything about a loaner until it was diagnosed, then they would set me up with a rental, as they didn't do loaners. Was also told at this point that if it was the engine, it would take 4-6 weeks from that point. Just to get the diagnostic, it took 2.5 weeks. Was called and left a message to call back. It took over 24 hours for me to finally talk to them, after calling back multiple times, for them to tell me that they had diagnosed the car. It was what they thought, and that it probably would be under warranty. I was also told at that time to call back in two days as they didn't have any loaners. (This was different then what they had originally said). I was never asked if I approved the repairs. The next day, I was told repaired, that they had "managed to get an engine", and install it. I may not know much about cars, but I know it takes over 2 days to replace an engine. Then they called me and tried to get me to sign something a day before I picked it up as they were afraid "I'd forget" to sign when I picked up my car. It was only when they called me to try to randomly sign something that I found out that the repairs were under warranty. To this day, I don't know if it was a new engine, or a used engine that they had sitting on a shelf. I don't believe that they waited 2.5 weeks to diagnose the car. I don't believe it took them less then 2 days to replace an engine. I also think they tried to limit any conversation with me, to explain what the issue was, and what was actually replaced. Communciation with Destination Kia's service department was so bad, I have no intention of going back for service, or to purchase a car again. If my car breaks down again, I'll take it elsewhere.
