In 2008, I realized that I needed to make a career change. I spent the previous 19 years in the restaurant industry, and the long hours were really beginning to take their toll. After applying for a job at Don Ayres, I was immediately impressed with the company’s family-friendly approach to business. Everyone welcomed me to the dealership, something that I pass along to our new employees. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Melissa, and our Weimaraner, Remington Steele (Remy). We also enjoy boating in our vintage Correct Craft. I enjoy helping customers not only at time of purchase, but later on down the line when questions arise on how to use their new vehicle's technology (I'm a bit of a tech geek)!

I couldn't have asked for a better Honda sales person than Andy Hitzemann. He was very professional and quite pleasant to work with as I was looking for a vehicle. I've purchased many new cars over the years. I must say that this was one of my more enjoyable experiences. I had visited this dealer earlier to explore the possibility of purchasing a new van. They didn that this was one of my more enjoyable experiences. I had visited this dealer earlier to explore the possibility of purchasing a new van. They didn't have what I was looking for, but Andy followed up a couple of times to insure that they came up with a car that I would be happy with. Andy and the rest of the staff were very straight forward and friendly. No under the counter agenda at any time. Most people hate dealing for a new car because of the condescending way "car people" treat them. I've experienced that dreadful experience many times. I never felt that negative aura at this car dealer. Many people came by and thanked me for my business. The price was fair and the experience of purchasing my new Honda Odyssey was excellent. It was our first experience with Honda dealer in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Andy Hitzemann was very professional and helpful. He tried to accomodate us as much as he could. This is the second vehicle that we have leased through Don Ayres Honda in Fort Wayne, IN in the last 2 years. The atmosphere is always friendly and the entire staff is always willing to answer all your questions. They treat you like family when you arrive and through the entire process. They keep their customer up to date with new dealer incentives via email and also contact you via phone just to check up on the vehicle and if you are enjoying it or if there have been any issues. Andy Hitzemann was extremely helpful on our new lease of our 2011 Honda Odyssey and even paired the bluetooth cell phone for my wife to the vehicle. He showed us all the new gadgets that Honda updated on the current model compared to our 2010 model that we traded in. Over all, Don Ayres is more than just a dealer of fine automobiles, but they are more of a family that you go to visit (but only when needed)!!! :) More

Once I figured out that I wanted a Honda Accord I really shopped around to find a good dealership. I went to 2 different dealerships before I tried Don Ayres. Not only do I feel like I got the best deal b shopped around to find a good dealership. I went to 2 different dealerships before I tried Don Ayres. Not only do I feel like I got the best deal but I felt like they were honest and upfront about everything. I would definatley recommend them. It was worth driving an hour and a half to get my new car!! More
