Ordered two trucks back in December. Delivery of trucks was pushed back due to Covid which is understandable. Once the trucks arrived the communication between the salesman and myself was horrible. Phone calls were never answered and getting ahold of him was very difficult. Prior to trading in one of the vehicles we were promised that we would have a truck one week later which was not true. The first truck came in two weeks after the promised date. Once the truck came in and was driven off the lot I was pulled over due to the front license plate missing. After calling the salesman I hadn’t heard anything all day after he said he would call me back. I reached out to a general manager and was told that I needed to go to DMV myself to get a new plate. After not agreeing with this I was offered a free oil change which doesn’t make up for the money lost due to the truck sitting at our shop as it is not legal. On top of this the truck body order had multiple things wrong with it. There was no side door which was on the order as a $750 option, there was no backup alarm which is required by New York State DOT, the controller plug was located right by the drivers floor mat therefore the controller needs to be unplugged when getting in and out of the truck. I have never purchased a dump truck with the controller plug in that location. This is my first time purchasing vehicles from depaula Ford and unfortunately will most likely be my last. After spending $180k+ on two trucks I would expect just a better experience. Bought my explorer in January and the process was seamless. Jay & Shannon were great and found me the car I wanted while also keeping it within my budget. Luis was great as well with getting me set up for appts regarding my recalls and loaning me a courtesy vehicle so I could get back to work and still able to do my daily errands.
