It was my pleasure on October 5 to be assisted by David Salvas and Maurice Summers. My wife and I had brought our 17-year-old Odyssey in for servicing in response to a check engine light and a very rough-r Salvas and Maurice Summers. My wife and I had brought our 17-year-old Odyssey in for servicing in response to a check engine light and a very rough-running engine. Maurice Summers was friendly, polite, and responsive as he dealt with our service needs, especially when I had to correct a misunderstanding caused when I misspoke and when my wife and I decided suddenly to buy a new car rather than repair the old one. Maurice took it all in stride. David Salvas introduced himself to my wife and me as we wandered the sales lot, where we discussed a newer Odyssey that had caught our eye and was within our price range. David guided us gently through the purchase process. He has a good sense of humor and great patience. Most importantly, I never felt that he was trying to sell me something, but rather that he was trying to help. David and Maurice exemplify the assistance and service that my wife and I have come to expect from Shockley Honda and are part of the reasons that all four of the cars we have bought together have been from Shockley. We unhesitatingly make the drive from DC to Frederick whenever we need servicing, knowing that we and our vehicle will be well treated. More
