Hey Sean, My name is Rick Brar and I am the General Sales Manager here at Straightline KIA. Thank you for bringing this to my attention Sean. Due to sensitive nature of this situation I am messaging you privately so the public cannot see any of this information we are talking about. Sean I reviewed your deal with my finance manager and seen he did get an approval for you of a rate of 1.49% on a 2020 Sorento however the bank gave us a cap amount of $32790 including taxes for your vehicle. For that amount we could not get you into a 7 passenger. Here at Straightline KIA we do not shoot your personal information to all major banks due to the respect of our clients credit history. The more banks we send your information to the more it effects your credit score. We did get an approval however it was not for the 7 passenger you desired. I was impressed to get that 1.49% for you with having a bankruptcy/proposal on your history however I am glad you got the vehicle you needed for your growing family. I am sure we could have got you approved for a 7 passenger however we wanted to secure the 1.49% rate for you during these times. Sean I see you accidentally tagged another employee (Danny) in your review. Can you kindly remove Danny from this review since he had no interaction with you while you were dealing with Straightline KIA? Hey Sean, In your previous review you had wrote Jason. I guess you meant to say Danny. If you do not mind can you please email me the messages you had sent back and forth from my sales team? I do appreciate the feedback Sean, without you bringing this to my attention I wouldn't know how correct this for the future. I will handle this issue internally and have a sit down with Danny, Jas and Darren regarding the lack of communication between my team and your family. Sean if you can let Straightline KIA make things up to you and your family I would like to offer you 2 free oil changes for your new Sorento. I know the distance may factor in however I would like to extended this offer to you for your poor experience with us. Thanks Sean

So you’re saying 2.69 for an EX would be too much of a stretch during these times? 2.69 is actually a great rate, which is what Northland was able get me. I didn’t even mention in my review that there was no follow up from Jas or Finance person (Darren maybe)? They went completely cold. I know it’s busy for your team but a simple follow up and explanation goes a long way instead of completely ignoring my texts (I can send you my texts to them with no response if you’d like) Danny did have an interaction with me and my family actually. We sat at his desk in the middle of the show room. As mentioned in my review, Danny first was very nice to us when he thought he was our salesmen, then when he found out we were Jas client, he completely gave us the cold shoulder. Why would I add Danny if we didn’t have an interaction with him?

Hi Rick, thanks for the reply. I’m a reasonable person and I never leave negative reviews, I usually just let it go. But I felt I wasn’t treated open/honestly ...A simple phone call saying we did our best to get you into a vehicle that suited your needs/budget but we didn’t want you to go over budget, would have been more than sufficient. I actually appreciate that you guys don’t try to over extend the customer past their budget. If I knew that was the case and received communication to that end, I never would’ve had a problem. I would have been impressed with the follow up. I actually had a great dealing with James Park @ Southtrail Kia and he broke it down how/why it would be out of my budget range to get into an SX. Even though I was disappointed that I couldn’t get into something I wanted to, it was refreshing to get open and honest communication as to the why it would not be in my best interest to make such a deal. I really appreciated that. Anyways, I appreciate your response here and there’s no need for my negative review to be up, and I will change it to 5 starts, since you are rectifying my issues and going above & beyond with the oil changes offer.
