I would strongly caution anyone considering Volvo of Unionville to think very carefully before trusting this dealership with their vehicle. My experience with them has been one frustration after another, but their latest decision genuinely left me stunned. My Volvo completely died TWO DAYS after its one-year service and had to be towed back to the dealership. Because my vehicle was unusable, Volvo of Unionville provided me with a loaner. While driving THEIR loaner, my 407 transponder apparently did not register properly. The actual 407 charge was $6.87. Volvo of Unionville has now sent me a bill for $27.70. Read that again. My Volvo dies two days after being serviced by them. I have to have it towed back. I am forced into their loaner because my own vehicle is sitting at their dealership. A $6.87 toll occurs because my transponder apparently doesn't ping properly in their vehicle, and their response is to invoice me $27.90. The amount of money is irrelevant. It is the staggering lack of judgment and customer care that bothers me. Given the history I have had with this vehicle and this dealership, you would think somebody in management might look at a $6.87 toll and say, "Perhaps we should absorb this one." Apparently not. This is what customer service looks like at Volvo of Unionville: after your vehicle leaves you stranded immediately following a scheduled service, they will still make absolutely certain they recover every last dollar connected to the inconvenience. I have owned premium vehicles because I expect a premium ownership experience. What I have experienced here has been the opposite. A luxury badge means very little when the dealership experience makes the customer feel like an accounting entry. This $27.90 invoice may be the smallest problem I have had with Volvo of Unionville, but it might be the best illustration of the bigger one. They simply do not seem to understand how to treat a customer whose patience has already been exhausted. More
