First off, I know that the manager, Val, will comment on this note, as that is his style. I went to Go Kia one morning as my wife wanted a Kia Soul and I recently found out that they were no longer being made and Go Kia Richmond had one that was priced properly, in good shape and we had a trade in for it. I got there as it opened and Val, the manager, spent 30 minutes with me and we came to a deal. He was very nice, to the point and it was a pleasurable transaction. This will be the only positive in this writing. I asked if I could hold it, with a $1,000 deposit, until my wife could test drive it later. He said no, as he did not want it to be unavailable for others. Ce la vie. I went home, told my wife that I think I found what she was looking for and she suggested she test drive it (she has always done so, and always bought the car afterwards). I called, this being 90 minutes, to let Val know we were on our way, but I was informed he was not there and that a person would help us. We arrived at 1120. We left at 345. What happened was such a horrible time at the dealership over a car we wanted, with an agreed upon price and them knowing we were coming. The issues are long so I will use point form: MJ – horrible salesperson; first addressed me three times by my last name only. I corrected him three times. My first name is Bill, so that should not be hard. MJ then kept only talking to me when I informed him more that once that this car will be owned and driven by my wife, so I am only there to facilitate the money part. I asked MJ for amount of draft, which is all they would take, and it took him 15 minutes to confirm what Val had already told me. Then we were told that we had to wait for the finance guy, which would be 90 minutes. No offer of us leaving or food or anything. Detention. During this 90 minutes MJ was joking with others, walking around, and generally treating us as if we were invisible. Finance guy, William, quite nice, was only there to sell us the extras we told MJ we did not take. Then William takes us to insurance, who was lovely. Back to William, who just hands us a key. Then, we are told by insurance that we could not cancel old car insurance until either William or Kate told us the car transfer of ownership was done; they would call us. So, I ask is Kate in Finance. "Yes, she is." So, Kate could have saved us 90 minutes? No answer… It is now five days later. The call to cancel insurance was promised in 24-48 hours later. The old car is up for sale on their website, so they have transferred it to them already. Still no call. So, let me sum this up. MJ is horrible. I am in sales. I am fortunate to be quite successful, and MJ is everything wrong with sales and why people hate buying cars. He wasted 2-3 hours of our time that we will never get back. When I met with Val, I asked, since we have a deal, this should be easy. Yes, just show up and bring the draft. It was not easy. MJ is bad. He could have referred us to Kate. He did not. Kate or William could have called. They did not. Maybe the worst service at any place, not just a car dealership, I have seen in decades. Val, please do not reply. Your hired and employ these people and they are just bad. More

I was even more nervous buying a car that I could only view by way of a provided video. From the very beginning of the process of buying and then shipping my Kia Seltos to Kelowna…Nav, who I dealt with for more than three weeks was patient, kind and went above and beyond my expectations. Even though we have not met, Nav made me feel at ease. I felt I could completely trust and count on him and his expertise. He did not disappoint me….ever!! I highly recommend kia Richmond to all who reads this review… particularly because of my dealings with Nav. I can honestly say he had, and still has my back to this day….
