We wanted to replace it with a vehicle having the same equipment ours had, and of similar condition and value. We found a vehicle listed in AutoTrader being offered for sale by Yonge-Steeles Ford. The listing specified this vehicle had all the features we were looking for and we emailed the dealership to ask for an appointment to view it. We were contacted pretty quickly to arrange an appointment. When we met the salesman, Peter Munger, we told him that the AutoTrader listing we saw said it had all the features we were looking for. He didn’t tell us that it, in fact, did not. He did tell us that the necessary inspections and servicing would be done before we took delivery so we trusted him, assumed all was in order and signed the sale agreement. We were told the car would be ready within a week. We finally went to pick up the car 12 days later, after Peter’s daily calls informing us of various reasons for remanding the pick-up date later and later. When we went to pick up the vehicle, Peter joked that we knew the vehicle better than he did … that’s a poor joke because it’s the salesman’s job to know everything about the product he is selling and to present it to the customer, including all disclosures, regardless of the customer’s perceived knowledge of the product. He assumed that we knew everything we needed to. As it was late and dark, my husband asked specifically what we were to do if we noticed something was off after we took the car home. Peter said “we’ll take care of anything within 30 days.” As we were leaving the dealership, we noticed that the car was missing the rear view camera, a key feature that was indicated on the AutoTrader listing. Rather than go back in and wait to discuss this with Peter, I called him the next morning. I expressed that I understood completely that the deal was done, Yonge-Steeles Ford already had my money, I had the car and this key feature was most likely not going to be added at the dealer’s expense. I did expect, however, a modicum of understanding and customer service as I also expressed that I was disappointed that I paid for a feature that I did not get. He immediately went on the defensive saying that you can’t go by AutoTrader listings. Well if that’s the case, he should have been more explicit when he knew we were there to view a car they were advertising on AutoTrader. In the same conversation, I asked him to send me the original Window Sticker for the car (which I know was not a difficult request) and he said he didn’t know if he could do that because sometimes they are not available for all vehicles; he also said he had a lot of things to do that day but he would look into it when he got to the office and call me back. I waited over 4 hours and assumed that Peter was indeed very busy when I didn’t hear from him, so I called the dealership reception line and asked if someone could simply send me the Window Sticker. About an hour later, Peter called me saying that he had left me a message 3 hours earlier and that he wished I would have called him directly instead of calling the reception line. He was clearly lying because I waited for his call on any of my numbers and there was none; my son was home the whole time and can confirm this. I knew instantly that he was trying to defer any responsibility in our dissatisfaction and further, he tried to make me feel like I did something wrong because he promptly went on the defensive saying “it sounds like you think I misled you” … well guess what Peter, you did. His tone caused me to become irate and instead of trying to defuse the situation, he proceeded to hang up on me! It is now 4 days later and no attempt has been made to salvage this horrible experience. Having worked in financial services for almost 40 years, I know a thing or two about customer service. There were any number of ways that this salesman could have turned our disappointment into a positive had he taken the time to listen. We now have a very negative opinion of this dealership and will be sharing our story with anyone who is thinking of doing business with them. More

Best dealer to buy or lease a new vehicle I had long been thinking to buy a Ford Explorer but was reluctant to buy it because its a pricey vehicle. My friend Guy Lapointe recommended Gill at F I had long been thinking to buy a Ford Explorer but was reluctant to buy it because its a pricey vehicle. My friend Guy Lapointe recommended Gill at Ford Lincoln. I went there and from the very first minute with Gill convinced me that I have met the right Sales person who is honest and customer oriented. Gill was very busy and he introduced me to Nadeem Yousaf. Nadeem was also great sales person and very friendly and focused on customer needs. Together he offered me a great deal on Ford Explorer XLT and I was very pleased and satisfied with the final deal. I have great confidence in both Gill and Nadeem Yousaf and recommend both to everyone who wishes to buy a Ford vehicle. More
Service still matters to Yonge Steele Ford Lincoln (YSFL) I had my 2017 F150 serviced at Yonge Steeles Ford. I drove from Ajax to Vaughan because I had a safety issues and the service manager Mr. Chris Rajmo I had my 2017 F150 serviced at Yonge Steeles Ford. I drove from Ajax to Vaughan because I had a safety issues and the service manager Mr. Chris Rajmohan told me to come in and he will take care of it immediately. Prior to calling YSFL I called the Fraser Ford in Oshawa and was told they are super busy and couldn't service my truck even thought my safety was at risk. To make matters worst this is the dealer that sold me the truck. Chris at YSFL expedited my check in process and put me into a rental replacement car within minutes of me arriving at their dealership. He was very professional in handling situation and showed genuine concern for me and my family. He called me the following day and told me that my car would ready for pickup the following morning. I advised him that I can't come till about 9 pm to which his response was" thats not a problem, I will wait for you to ensure you're ok when you get your car". I was pleasantly surprised of how magnanimous he was. He took his time to wait around for me to return the rental, check me into my truck and thanked me for being a YSFL customer. I cannot thank Chris enough for the level of service he showed and his professionalism. He has definitely made me a forever customer of YSFL. More

I have been dealing with Yonge Steeles for my last 3 vehicles.(approx. 12 years). All leases. Harood Hameed has been the gentleman that I have worked with for all these years. He is an very considerate and kind gentleman. It has been my pleasure to deal with him. When I decided to buy my vehicle at the end of the lease I was put in contact with Mr. Sunil George. I know he is probably a very busy man BUT I have to say if he had been my first contact with Yonge Steeles it would have been my last one. The evening that I went there to finalize the paperwork for the purchase he was borderline rude. I tried to ask questions about the paperwork and his attitude was ... He acted as if I was wasting his time. I know I was purchasing out a lease and not buying a new one but I have been a good client for years. More
