I purchased a 2020 Toyota Corolla from Woodstock Toyota in May 2026 as a Toyota Certified Used Vehicle. What followed was one of the most dishonest and frustrating consumer experiences I have ever had. On my initial visit I noticed a tire sidewall defect and pointed it out to my salesman. He brought the sales manager outside to personally inspect it. Neither of them had noticed it themselves, I had to bring it to their attention on their own lot. I was assured by both that it would be corrected during the 160-point TCUV inspection before delivery. The tire was not replaced. Item 66 of the TCUV inspection, which specifically certifies no sidewall problems, was signed off despite the known defect. A Safety Standards Certificate was also issued on the vehicle with the defective tire still in place. I drove home from Woodstock to Thornhill, nearly two hours, on a tire that should never have passed certification. There was no proactive outreach from the dealership. No apology, no phone call, no email explaining what happened. I had to follow up myself. The only reason tires were ordered at all was because I contacted David directly. Had I not reached out, nothing would have been done. When I raised the issue to the sales manager he sent me two emails on the same evening , May 29, 2026, that directly contradict each other. In his first email he stated he ordered the tires that day after the sales rep sold me the car. In his second email the same evening, he stated his discussion with the tech and service manager about the gouge was done that day, implying the consultation preceded the order. He ordered the tires before consulting the technician, then wrote a second email hours later implying the opposite sequence. His own timestamps contradict his own account. In that same second email Dawson also admitted: "When I said I was very confident it wouldn't pass when you first purchased I was wrong." This confirms his original assurance to me was based on his own incorrect personal assessment, not a technician's evaluation. The sales manager's email states the technician determined the tire did not need to be replaced and communicated that to nobody. Not to the salesman. Not to the sales manager. Not to me as the customer who had specifically flagged the concern before purchase. A safety concern raised by a customer before purchase was evaluated and the result was communicated to absolutely no one. That alone represents a serious failure of process. I had to drive back from Thornhill, nearly two hours each way, to have the tire replaced. The dealership provided no formal appointment confirmation. Upon arrival they showed zero accountability, treating the situation as though it was not their responsibility. Dawson suggested in an email that it was my responsibility to re-inspect the vehicle after driving it off the lot. Following my Google review the sales manager contacted me by phone requesting a verbal conversation. He offered no written resolution and no compensation. When I requested email communication only he said he would not contact me further. An independent inspection confirmed the tires installed are low quality and found a missing brake caliper fastener that should have been caught during the TCUV inspection. I have filed complaints with OMVIC (W-00051817), MTO DriveON (ticket 370176), BBB, Toyota Canada (case 038 32688) and Consumer Protection Ontario. Woodstock Toyota failed to respond to BBB within the required timeframe. Get an independent inspection before taking delivery of any vehicle from this dealership. More

We purchased a 2023 Rav Ltd at this dealership. We waited a long time to have this delivered. We really enjoy driving our car. We were looking for a replacement vehicle for my husband. We live in Cambridge. We had previously dealt with Brantford Toyota and had a good experience, so started there. We started looking around and found that a brand new vehicle was actually cheaper than a used one. We called Cambridge Toyota to book a visit. We were told they had no used to test drive, but we could come in, they made it sound like we would be wasting out time but sure, if we had to go in and see them... FINE!. We found that Woodstock Toyota had a used that we could, so we did a road trip. SO GLAD we did. We arrived and within a few minutes were greeted by DAVE. Dave was friendly, outgoing, and most of all honest, and did not try to push a sale. His honest and open approach was so welcoming. He did not make us feel like we were bothering him by being there, or interrupting him. WE told him our plan to order a new vehicle but wanted to see one and maybe test drive to make sure. Right there DAVE knew he was not going to make a sale but never changed who he was. He stood there is the cool damp evening and answered all our questions in great detail, and we asked ALOT, trust me. We not only asked about vehicle features, we asked about financing, warranties, gas mileage, Something the person selling us a new vehicle should do, Cambridge! I decided right there and then. we were not going to Cambridge dealership. WE were staying right here. Cambridge already gave us attitude. Why, why go there. This man DAVE, took the time, went above and beyond. He was going to get the sale. Fast forward, and our brand new RAV4 Arrives. They installed our new winter tires and new lug nuts free of charge. The Dave took over an hour to explain every interior feature to my husband, Helped him to set up the app on his phone to connect with the new truck. Just absolutely amazing. I cannot say enough good things about Woodstock Toyota and Dave. They are honest, no xxxxxxxx dealership. I had a previous bad experience, and wanted to make sure there was no extra hidden "etching security" feature added, that can cost anywhere up to $600. When we went to pick up the vehicle, there was a sticky note on our folder with NO ETCHING in big bold letters. and guess what... It wasn't on the bill either. They did exactly what I asked, no hassles no double talking. SIMPLY AMAZING. I recommend Woodstock Toyota to anyone that has ever had issues with a Dealership before, They will restore your faith, and show you an AMAZING, HONEST, Good people work here dealership is all about. The Dealership owner came to us and asked if everything was going well. The Finance person was also amazing. Explained everything, answered all questions, laughed when we side tracked him with jokes. Just an all around great experience. We will definitely go back in the next few years to replace my vehicle. Only regret, I can not go back and order one for me...LOL. More
