Encountered mechanical issues while in Regina back on 01/29/20. As I get my Honda services at Wheaton Honda in Edmonton, I decided to use Wheaton Chevrolet in Regina. Don’t know how the dealerships are r 01/29/20. As I get my Honda services at Wheaton Honda in Edmonton, I decided to use Wheaton Chevrolet in Regina. Don’t know how the dealerships are related, but my experience with Wheaton Chevrolet was like nothing I have experienced in the past. I was told my EGR ByPass valve needed to be replaced. GM service information lists this job as needing 7.7hrs to complete, plus 1 hr for diagnosis. I had the diagnosis about 10;30am and was on the road by 4:30pm, yet I was charged for almost 14hrs in labour, plus whatever they invoiced GM for a recall that they repaired within the same timeframe! How is it acceptable to charge a customer almost double the manufacturers defined service hours for a repair? And almost 2.5X the actual time required for the repair? If you are looking to be treated fairly by your automobile repair shop, I would NOT recommend WHEATON CHEVROLET for you. More
