Mrs. Juliette H My Dealership participates in the DealerRater Certified Dealer Program. We are committed to providing high quality customer service, but based on your DealerRater review, you did not share that experience. That is very disappointing to us, and through this program we have the opportunity to work with you to resolve any issues with your experience at their dealership. I understand that you are unhappy with us not being able to refund the deposit. When you were in our store we had came to agreement on numbers on a in stock unit. At the time you were more then happy with the purchase and even wanted to add accessories to your vehicle being 3m, Undercoat, Remote Starter and Winter floor mats. Then left a deposit and had scheduled a delivery date for the vehicle. We in your request went ahead and installed the accessories your requested onto the vehicle, in order to be ready on the agreed delivery date of May 9, 2012. When you missed the scheduled appointment we re-confirmed with you on May 10, 2012 that you would be picking up that evening. Then missing the appointment for the 10th we tried again for the 12th and still no show. On our next point of contact you had then informed us that you had purchased a vehicle at another location?!? Now because that you had breached our contract we we're left with your unit having installed accessories in the amount of over $1700 that was ready for the delivery date you had set. Due to the fact that you asked for accessories to be installed, we installed them for YOU, at the price agreed. Juliette you then cancelled the deal in doing so you forfeited your deposit on the vehicle in order to cover the a portion of the cost added to the unit and us stepping up to cover the other $700 involved in the agreement. If there was no accessories installed we would be happy to give you credit in our parts and service departments, unfortunately due to the accessories you asked for that wasn't the case.

We were told by Aaron after talking to his manager that West Edmonton Hyundai would not refund our deposit BEFORE any work was done. Keeping our deposit and choosing to do so before any work was done AND the neglect on behalf of your sales staff to let us know of an alternative vehicle that both meet our needs and our budget caused this entire issue in my opinion. And both rest solely on your dealership and its conduct and policies.
