Hello, I’ll start with my issue, my light in the rear passenger was off so I went to Mr. lube so that they could put it in. when I went there they told me that my light was on and that every time you touched the wire it would flicker on and off. They said it was an electrical issue and to have my dealership look at it. I booked an appointment and spoke to Jeff when I told him my story he laughed in my face, in front of other customers. I was extremely embarrassed. I told him I would show him so I walked him to my car and showed him that every time you touch the wire it would flicker. When we walked back inside he told me that if it turns out to be a non-warranty issue it could be 70-140 dollars. I said it is a warranty issue because you could see yourself that the light would go off when you touched the wire. Then Jeff again says in a loud condescending tone, “ maybe you got into an accident” and I replied that I never did. It was awkward and embarrassing. I waited for my car finally I approached him and asked what’s going on with my car and he pulled out the papers. $161 dollars for a 3 dollar blub. Apparently it was an incorrect blub it melted its place holder and I was charged full diagnostic. So I would love to know what a 70 dollar range would be? A walk around my car? Lastly WEST Edmonton Hyundai says they have excellent customer service. Did Jeff walk me to my car? No. did he at least show me my car? No. did he show or tell me what future bulb to use? No. before the diagnostic did he even say hey let’s make sure it’s not the blub before we take your car in? no. that is EXCELLENT customer service. YOUR SERVICE MANAGER bonnie is a different case. She’s much worse and I have never ever seen such service from anyone. I contacted Hyundai Canada to file a complaint. She said because it’s a service issue at a dealership level the only thing she can do is forward my complaint to the service manager and to expect a call 24-48 hours. Hyundai Canada calls me the next day and she says that the “service manager” received my complaint and wasnt receptive in calling me back. So I said to the agent is this what Hyundai Canada stands for that when customers have concerns, managers don’t even call back as a curtesy? And the agent said she would forward this but it would be an internal complaint and I wouldn’t get a follow up which makes sense. So please help me understand why a manager wouldn’t call back a paying customer to address their concerns? I was shocked. Finally I called the service manager because I need to talk to her, I explained everything to her and she said she’s sorry about Jeff not explaining everything and not walking me to my car etc. she said she wanted to compensate me so I told her I want my money back because it’s a rip off and she said the mechanic clocked in 1.3 hours and it’s by the hour for the charge. I find that interesting considering on the paper I have he clocked in an hour which I’m sure is the minimum. She said she would give me an oil change and I told her I bought my car there and I get FREE oil changes and she flat out told me that’s incorrect because I bought my car used. I told her I know exactly what I agreed to unless you’re telling me my whole agreement is invalid. And she said she would look into it and call me back. Have I heard back from her? Absolutely not. My family drives Hyundai’s, we are a Hyundai family. I’m appalled by the level of disrespect and disregard the service manager and employees have for me. I have never had issues with the salesmen but as a whole this has definitely been a horrible and sour experience for me. That is why I am upset.
