Hi Connor - Thanks for chatting with us on this matter. We have done a review and there was a communication breakdown for sure. We are sorry for this. As mentioned in our private messages - as a dealership we do not "hold" vehicles for someone, we give people all the time that they require to consider the car, but it is always available for sale to others during that period. We apply a lowest price guarantee, and that combined with great condition, Vancouver Island cars - our average time in stock for a used car is less than 20 days, so they are turning very quickly. We work to communicate this to our customers ... The manager on duty that day advises us that when he met with you prior to your departure that he asked you to buy the car, and advised that no holds were available. We are not sure why your salesperson would after the fact text you saying that he would hold the car over the weekend, he certainly does not have the authority to do that, and from a sales perspective it would not help his ability to deliver the car, as "holding it" seems to take away from potential deals, not move them forward. Typically people want to only hold cars to secure a fall back position, then shop all over BC. I am sure that you can imagine that this is something that sales people and dealerships typically work to avoid. Although disheartened that things were not smooth, we are pleased for the feedback as it has given us the opportunity to review our process with the team here. We remain at your service, and once again sorry for the trouble.

Hi Mr. Biro I am sorry that you are unhappy, this is not how we want anyone to feel. We have done some investigation into your concern, and have been told that the reason no appraisal was completed on your vehicle was due to the fact that some unanswered items were in place related to your vehicle financing - you did not qualify as submitted. Our CRM notes suggest that this was explained to you, and that you had left the dealership to see if you could answer these questions first (a co-signor was required) - the plan was to iron these out before the appraisal. The sales manager on duty felt that this was the proper path to follow as an appraisal without the financing questions answered could be a poor use of your time, as we could not buy the car from you anyways without that stuff complete. Because of this, and to save you time, a ball park figure was provided only. It sounds like there is a miscommunication however and we take full responsibility for any miscommunication. We are sorry for this, and we are sorry for not meeting your requirements. How you feel is not how we want anyone to feel. In terms of not valuing your business, this is completely incorrect, you are a valuable customer, and we value your business both past and future. I am sorry that we have not illustrated this to you. Your file notes that this latest discussion was entered into proactively by us - we had called you to suggest an upgrade on December 9th, and you attended the dealership on an appointment set then - I only mention this as it shows (at least I think it does) our desire to complete another transaction with you. If we didn't value you, we wouldn't have called, right? In the meantime - if it helps you ascertain the value of your current car - here is a link to the Canadian Black Book Values - these are the wholesale values derived by Black Book by studying recent auction transactions, and are relatively accurate in terms of ball parking vehicle values from province to province. http://www.canadianblackbook.com/black-book-values Dealerships can buy cars at auction for about these values, vis a vis that is what sets the market. You may or may not be thrilled with what the value of car is, but we do not set the market here at the dealership. Indy Brar our General Sales Manager has tried to reach out to you via telephone and email - we are more than happy to perform a full market value assessment, regardless of the status of your financing. Additionally I see follow-up from your salesperson since you left inquiring as to if you had made any headway on the financing questions that the bank had.
