Asked about a vehicle yesterday, they got back to me today telling me it was available and when I called they said someone put down a deposit, and told me they would send the carfax in the meantime. The today telling me it was available and when I called they said someone put down a deposit, and told me they would send the carfax in the meantime. They did not send the carfax. This whole deposit thing is the most annoying thing and isn't fair especially when the deposit is refundable. Some of us have been searching for vehicles for weeks/ months. More

I was promised a detailing when I first bought my vehicle from them which I never received - however there were McDonalds French fries smushed in the cup holder and seat! Mmm yummy snack… they also sold me a vehicle with NINE year old tires that were completely weather worn. Even though I was within 3 years of warranty they will not replace them. Overall the sales department is very slimey. When I called to discuss my tire issue they recommended not fixing my tires and buying a whole new car from them. Honestly laughable. I would not recommend them to anyone (especially a woman - they scam women even more). More
Hats off to Victoria Hyundai - Dan Houle, our salesman extraordinaire, Bruce Blake, who took us through the paperwork effortlessly, and Mike for helping us bring our new addition to the family home. Service and Victoria Hyundai are not words that should be used in the same sentence. Twice now we have taken the car in for basic servicing (software update first time; snow tires the second time) and despit used in the same sentence. Twice now we have taken the car in for basic servicing (software update first time; snow tires the second time) and despite being asked to drop the car off at 9:30am, they've been unable to complete the task on time. The second time, as my husband was preparing to go back to the dealership to pick up the car, they called to say that they hadn't had time to get the snow tires on so we had to pick it up the next day. No explanation, no apology. How hard can it be to put snow tires on? Does it seem too much to ask that if the promise is to complete the service in one day, that they actually do that? We have one car only. How do they know that we don't have plans for the next day? Trying the Duncan dealer next. More
I buy a Veloster N 2022 automatic 8 speed dual shift last march I cross the Canada in between Victoria and Quebec and my car break down(18k km). Under warranty I shoud have a rental car or something to go wo march I cross the Canada in between Victoria and Quebec and my car break down(18k km). Under warranty I shoud have a rental car or something to go working but I have to wait 1 week to get a car caused they pretend don’t have any car to borrow at this time. Finally the diagnostic came out (engine replacement) 2 months waiting for the engine but when the actual engine as been ship to the dealership. Hyundai Canada tell them trying change fuel injector as been waiting 3 weeks for the fuel injector to finally fix the issue that easy. No update to the customer about what going on with the car. Call the dealership is a pain don’t recommend. You have to figure it out for your protection package by your own. Finally when I got a borrow car they give me a Santa Fe 2021 with 3500km over the oil change and make me lossed a half of day of work caused in the same day they received part and a truck of lube oil so my car was stuck in the garage. Every time your car it’s sitting there for more than a week as been covered with bird xxxxxxxxx and they don’t clean it before giving your key back. More
The only saving grace about Victoria Hyundai is the service manager. I bought a new 2022 Kona from them. Shortly after the 30 day return policy the AC went, then the heating system wasn’t working prope service manager. I bought a new 2022 Kona from them. Shortly after the 30 day return policy the AC went, then the heating system wasn’t working properly, and then my horn stopped working. I took my car in over 7 times to get it fixed (not including regular check ups) in less than a year. I was left driving without a horn for almost 6 months while they sat on the parts for weeks in their garage. One of the service men also left a few 3 inch long bolts lying loose under my hood which caused damage to the battery casing and flew out from under the hood while driving causing significant damage to my windshield which they nearly refused to fix. Turns out they outsourced my windshield which took 3 months to fix, when I got my car back there was an empty cigarette pack in the door. Now when I turn on the heat it smells of cigarettes and there is a fresh gouge in the hard plastic dash as well as my back fender on the passenger side. I was fed up and what they offered me was to switch vehicles. They offered me a 2022 Kona which had claims against it for being in an accident and asked that I pay an extra 2000-3000$ extra in order to put me in the car (DONT FORGER YOU LOSE YOUR WARRANTY AND GET TO BUY A NEW ONE!). When I told the sales manager Tristan Marshall that he had sold me a lemon. His response was a grin and said “I won’t admit that to you”. Of course not! I am proud to say that I have deterred 5 individuals with real interest in buying from Victoria Hyundai so far and I don’t plan on stopping, I will never purchase from them again and I can guarantee no one I know or meet will either. Possibly the worst customer service I have EVER had at a car dealership service centre. It feels like the service centre wants you to hate dealing with Hyundai and make you never want to buy a Hyundai again car dealership service centre. It feels like the service centre wants you to hate dealing with Hyundai and make you never want to buy a Hyundai again. So the service centre made an error. I called and spoke to the service centre manager who did not have the authority to fix the problem (and it really wasn't a huge one), so I got forwarded to the general manager. When he EVENTUALLY got back to me, he got defensive, blamed me for the problem (which it obviously wasn't my fault), refused to solve the issue, and is now completely ignoring me. It would have been a small issue to fix;now he has cost a customer for life. Really, he came across as an incompetent man-child without the skills or experience to do his job, that can't communicate, take feedback. Every action, from when the car was dropped off for the service to my last interaction screamed lack of care for the customer. It's a shame because their sales team was great when we bought the car. But now I'll never buy a car from them again - nor from any other Kot Autogroup dealership. More
