I took my 2001 Toyota Echo into Sun Toyota on October I took my 2001 Toyota Echo into Sun Toyota on October 16th and November 8th of 2013 for extensive service which, when completed, amounted to almost I took my 2001 Toyota Echo into Sun Toyota on October 16th and November 8th of 2013 for extensive service which, when completed, amounted to almost $4000.00 ( yes, that's right; ALMOST FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS ! ). When I first let my car with Sun I specifically requested that their service technicians go over it completely and carefully, and stated that I wanted it to run at peak efficiency when all repairs and service had been completed. The "service" ( if that's what it can be described as ) took separate visits because Sun didn't have some of the parts that were required for the repairs and in the case of each visit I had to leave my vehicle at Sun Toyota and use a loaner vehicle of their's. After my car spent quite a long period of time in Sun's service, the service personnel assured me that EVERYTHING was repaired and that the vehicle was running perfectly. PERFECTLY?!! After picking it up for the last time, my car ( within two weeks of all its "service" at Sun Toyota ) chugged and almost stalled when I tried to accelerate onto freeways or on highways ( this after the service personnel at Sun Toyota repeatedly assured me that my car didn't need any sort of tune-up after I repeatedly asked if it did need one! ); it produced gas fumes ( like those when gas is spilled at a filling station's pumps ) inside the cabin whenever the heater was on; its fan belts squealed on turns - CONSTANTLY; it was eating gas like it never had never done since I purchased it in 2001. They even forgot to re-connect the lighter after dismantling the dashboard in order to fix the Defrost on the heater's dial. Winter was at hand and I had spent so much money on these repairs that I couldn't afford to have my car re-serviced, so I had to drive it as it was throughout the entire winter. Finally, in March 2014, one of the fan belts came off and I was stranded on the road. And the fan belt problem was one of the main reasons I had gone into Sun for service in the first place!!! This time I will take it to Gateway Toyota for service, and I will neither go back to Sun Toyota for service or to ever purchase a vehicle under any circumstances at any time. In fact, I wouldn't trust the staff at Sun Toyota to sell me the correct time of day! In my opinion, their service technicians do the worst service on cars I've ever personally experienced. their Front Counter staff are deceptive in that they repeatedly assured me that not only was my vehicle completely "fixed", but that it didn't need a tune-up. The Service department at Sun Toyota is small and not stocked with all parts needed to complete repairs, resulting in waits and lengthy stays for cars taken there. All in all, the Sun Toyota servicing of my car was the absolute WORST experience I've ever had with an auto dealership since I began driving decades ago. K. B. Granlund Edmonton More

The employee gave me a detailed explanation of the services needed and an estimate of the total charges. We had a BMW and were having nothing but problems with the car and dealership we bought it from. We had a Toyota 4runner before the BMW and we really liked it so my husband ( out of frustration with the B the car and dealership we bought it from. We had a Toyota 4runner before the BMW and we really liked it so my husband ( out of frustration with the BMW ) looked up the 4runner and we found one at Sun Toyota and Henry was our salesperson. He was awesome through the whole process that took over a month and was great to work with. I would strongly recommend Sun Toyota to anyone and Henry would be someone we would defiantly recommend. I was able to get my vehicle booked in for routine service (oil change and regular maintenance) quickly. The advisor who helped me at the service desk was friendly and courteous and was able to answer service (oil change and regular maintenance) quickly. Price seemed fine for the services performed and the work was performed in a reasonable amount of time, especially considering that the appointment was for a Saturday morning. More
my experience at this location was great. As I called at sun Toyota for my cars regular maintenance I was asked to come right way don't even have to book an appointment .Other good thing was price was very sun Toyota for my cars regular maintenance I was asked to come right way don't even have to book an appointment .Other good thing was price was very reasonable as compared with gateway Toyota. Top of this I had a commercial vehicle and it was ready before the given time . The total "used car" experience at Sun Toyota on Whyte was friendly, efficient and respectful of my time. When I was ready for a test drive, Ashlee was able to explain the differences & similarities between the vehicles I was considering. After the test drive I explained what I liked/didn't like about each vehicle and she was so responsive to my needs that she was able to redirect me toward a slightly used new vehicle, which was way more suitable... and at the right price!
