I just purchased a new Rav 4 and I dealt with Luis Martinez whom I found to be one of the best sales persons I have had the pleasure to deal with. I had a very disappointing first time used car buying experience dealing with Luis Martinez. After a test drive and discussing financing, the payments were going to be reasonable and so I made a deposit experience dealing with Luis Martinez. After a test drive and discussing financing, the payments were going to be reasonable and so I made a deposit on the car. He called me the next morning to say that he had forgotten to include 88% of the tax in the agreement of sale. I returned that evening to go over the new numbers, during which he tried to upsell me on product and refused to remove walk-away protection despite my deposit being more than half the value of the car. The longer the process went on, the more he lost my trust. The final straw was that the dealership provided no alternative to financing with Toyota Canada and they would not entertain even the slightest negotiation on the price, even after this whole ordeal. It is now 3 weeks later and I am still not sure if Luis was trying to take advantage of me or simply doesn't know what he is doing. Either way, I strongly recommend you avoid this dealership and especially this salesman. (It is worth noting however that the Used Car Sales Manager did a good job following up with me afterwards to hear my concerns) More
