Always recommend costly extra services They're nice, courteous etc but no matter what I take my 2013 car in for -- scheduled maintenance, warranty work -- they come back with a list of abou They're nice, courteous etc but no matter what I take my 2013 car in for -- scheduled maintenance, warranty work -- they come back with a list of about 20 more procedures that they "strongly recommend." This time several of those had actually just been done -- but at a different dealership -- so they were recommending them without actually checking the condition of what they were claiming needed replacing/cleaning. Even after they took those things off the list, what they wanted to do (on top of the warranty work) would still have cost upwards of 500, which I simply can't afford. So - watch for this - they'll say "well if you do any one thing, it should be ..." . I don't know about cars. On the spot, at the end of the day, wanting the xxxx car back and knowing I have a long trip ahead of me, I'll give in, just in case they're right. This time - fuel injector service, at 55,000km (again - apparently they pulled one on me without asking at 28000) - for $179. Later of course when I have time to look it up I find out it's a rip off and hardly ever necessary. I took the car there because the tranny was acting up and I wasn't sure it would be safe to go to a dealer farther away. Next time I'll take my chances. Honestly this happens EVERY TIME. More
