Purchasing a new truck became a nightmare with Suburban Motors in Victoria. Started out fine, everyone friendly, good test drive. LOVED the F150 Ecoboost Lariat However, it rapidly went downhill and found the entire sales process to be deceptive and misleading. Watch your paperwork and be prepared for a lot of false statements from both the front line sales staff and from the sales management team. Our ordeal includes: An agreement of purchase for a truck that they previously sold 3 days prior to our agreement. Including a $2500.00 deposit cheque cashed even when they knew that the vehicle could not be delivered to us. Misrepresentation of comparable vehicles in region. Total misrepresentation of the available financing. Pushing a 4 yr RBC loan @5.99% with specific terms and not making available Ford special financing rates, which I was enlightened that they receive kickbacks/referral fees from RBC but not Ford. ( When I did purchase a Ford truck, I was presented, 10 financing options with both Ford and banks) Disrespectful & low ball trade in value, offered me $6000.00 for my existing SUV which I sold myself on usedvictoria in 4 days for $10000.00 Price of new truck was considerably higher than the exact same truck I bought on the mainland. I bought the new F150 over the phone, dealer delivered for Free to Victoria and I saved over $3000.00 in total costs. Be prepared for 1980's sales tactics and a lot of slick xx if you deal with this group. More

T Suburban Motors in Victoria BC.Breaks squeel very often. Ford has tried to replace pads many times/ types, machine the rotors, replaced the rotors. They refuse to believe that this could be a caliper problem. I have had to go without a vehicle many many days now because of this. I did not buy a used car I bought a new vehicle so I would not have to constantly have my vehicle in the shop. This truck has been in the shop more than some beaters I have owned. Gee Ford....what else could it be if you tried replacing everthing else....??????? I want this problem fixed once and for all without having to go without a vehicle for many more days. For this reason I will not buy another vehicle from Suburban Motors or any other Ford dealership. With my experience i would not recommend anyone buy from them or get service on their vehicle. Feel free to contact me ford. Steve was great to deal with this review is not about him. Its about how the dealership is run or operated. People don't buy new vehicles to go without a car often. They want to buy Good vehicles not lemons. If I get another mechanic to fix this as ford refuses too. the story will be shared with the newspapers or tv news. ranogd@hotmail.com More

I even wrote to them to explain my concerns and offered them an opportunity to address. That was three weeks ago and they haven't even responded. So, to help you understand why I think they are dishonest, here is the text of my letter to them. Read for yoruself, would have felt teh same way as me? Text of letter --> "I had our 93 Explorer with you for the day last Wednesday for some service diagnostic, and one aspect of that service has given me great concern sufficient to question whether I would ever use your services again. I will explain. The service representative called me mid morning to advise that the vehicle’s brakes needed replacing at some $1,600+ in cost. I advised that I was not in a position to proceed with the at this time, and that I would pick up the vehicle and pay for the diagnostic services. Your service representative, then repeatedly emphasized that the vehicle was in such a dangerous state of repair that if the vehicle was to leave the lot, then it must be towed away and not driven. We concluded our telephone discussion with me saying that I would arrange for the removal. Some ten or so minutes later, I received a call back from the same service representative advising that the mechanic had made necessary adjustments to the vehicle and that it was now completely safe to drive away! I have reflected on this over the weekend and also discussed with others. I have arrived at only one conclusion and that is that your service representative was intentionally lying to me and trying to scare me into committing to an expensive repair. If you have another interpretation, I would appreciate hearing of it. This encounter has questioned my trust in using Suburban into the future. But as I have valued your past services, I want to offer you this opportunity to address my concerns." More
