First car purchase bad service and deposit refusal I went with my brother to get a new car. This was his first car purchase . My bf and I tagged along as my bf has always gotten Volkswagen. The salesmen we had Jesse was very nice at first. Once we started talking about price he began to shut down. He refused to negotiate on the price and we had to argue a few times to get the offer of $500 off being offered by Volkswagen themselves. Keep in mind my bf has gotten several leases with Volkswagen and thought the price was too high. My brother being his first purchase decided to put down a $500 deposit.He was verbally told that the papers he was signing meant nothing and that there'd be no problem getting this deposit back if he changed his mind. both by Jesse Smith and Brittany Adair. Jesse also xxxx on knight auto haus repeatedly, told me all Volkswagen's shake and the test drive with the shaking was normal.The store did not call him back to advise how the process is going. My bf talked to another dealer and the offered the same Jetta in a color my brother actually wanted for a lot less per month. the other dealer was more helpful and willing to negotiate and give advice. When my brother went back into this location the deposit was refused to be given back( I know it is not mandatory just bad practice to me, i have always gotten them back at all other dealerships). He was told he purchased a Jetta in a baby blue color he did not want at all and no lease forms were ever signed. The manager was very rude and condescending to him and was verbally agressive. we have written them several times and no result in the issue . We also talked to Volkswagen directly and they were very upset with this process and tried to help us but the deposit was refused again. This has left a very sour taste the whole buying process would have been ruined if the other dealership wasn't so much better. I think people should review the pricing and it is their right to check on that. More
