Told me that a mouse chewed a wire before they looked at it it even my car, the work order had yet to be made up on account of they didn’t even get the mileage from it yet, charged me 176$ to tell me that, and wanted another 1 hour labour (176$) to repair it. Even had the nerve to show me it and try and sell it as a mouse chewed the one wire in the bottom of the oil pan. Didn’t expect me to be a licensed redseal mechanic and dealership level 3 certified. Upon asking what the heck they told me to fix it myself and then tried to tell me it still needed a recall. I didn’t trust them enough for a free recall. VW Canada was contacted, and their “investigation” said it was from a mouse. Didn’t address the scam, didn’t address the attitude of RON SORIENTO (guys like this should work for guys like me, but they fail upward, gifted mouth perhaps) and didn’t address the ignorance of the mechanic that told me to fix it myself. Absolutely garbage, garbage in garbage out. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this is a scam that they run, and wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if there are more like me, but unaware.
