I took my car to Southgate VW for a simple oil change and what should have been a warranty issue for a button that doesn’t work. Instead, they wanted to charge me $180 just to check the button—even though I what should have been a warranty issue for a button that doesn’t work. Instead, they wanted to charge me $180 just to check the button—even though I provided video proof it wasn’t working. When I picked up my car later that day, the check engine light was on. Turns out, they didn’t even tighten the oil cap properly. I had to leave my car there for another day because of their mistake. To make matters worse, I received notifications from my VW app showing that their tech took my car on a “test drive” to validate the “repair” where he was driving 110 km/h in a 60 and 80 zone. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Do not take your vehicle here unless you want half-done work and your car abused like it’s stolen. I have screenshots and app notifications to back up everything I’m saying. More
