A Test of Customer Service - Passed With Flying Colours My wife and I recently purchased a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica from Southbank. Our salesperson was Rick Slade, and I was very happy with how we were treate My wife and I recently purchased a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica from Southbank. Our salesperson was Rick Slade, and I was very happy with how we were treated, the way the dealership conducts themselves, and most importantly, their after-sales service. We came in knowing we were going to be getting *a* van from Southbank. Having researched all the comparable vans, we knew we were going to get either a Grand Caravan or a Pacifca. We were leaning towards the Pacifica, and we were also unsure of which trim/options we wanted. Rick Slade sat with us and we discussed what were our wants and needs were for our vehicle, what our planned usage was, what our estimated length of ownership would be, and what budget limitations we had. After some on-paper comparisons, we test drove a Caravan and Pacifica. Further discussions had us settled on the Pacifica. As we started considering trim/options, Rick was able to get a good understanding of what we were looking for and helped us narrow down our options. We were kind of between the Touring-L and Touring-L Plus. Rick was very honest and transparent during our discussions, telling us which options we were considering that in his opinion we likely didn't need. As we started get really serious (as in looking at which models on the lot best fit us), we started to realized the Touring-L had what we 'needed', and the Touring-L Plus had what we 'wanted', but came with an obvious increase in price. Rick proposed a new option that he found as he was looking through their inventory; a Pacifica Limited demo. It had MANY more options than we 'needed', but since it was a demo, he was able to make the price work where it was comparable to the "new" new Pacificas we were looking at. After a bit of back and forth, we settled on a price that my wife and I were very happy with. Even better, the dealership said they would be able to have the van ready for pick-up the next day! This is where we started to have some issues. We never test drove the actual van we purchased. Our reason was we had test driven a Pacifica, and by the time we started looking at the Limited demo, it was past 8:00 PM and raining quite heavily. So what were our issues? They were all minor, but given we were buying a 'new' van, they were things we weren't expecting to happen. - paint chip on the hood - grease, goop, and a pair of sunglasses in the interior - the clip covering the pull-handle for the Stow n Go on the rear bench was broken - we were missing a key - half of the rear bench didn't work (power Stow n Go: wouldn't latch properly or move at all) When we picked up the van, Rick went to put the rear bench up for us, which is when he noticed it didn't work. I could tell from the look on his face that whoever did the inspection before it got to us was probably going to hear a lot of words that rhyme with duck. The rest of the things we noticed during our drive away from the dealership, with the exception of the key. With that, the issue was our model came with a 'KeySense' key, which is a third key that limits speed and some other features. We thought it could be de-programmed, which isn't the case. My fear was it would be a 'Eh, you left the lot!'. DEFINITELY not the case. Rick told us as soon as we could come back, we would be slotted right in to fix the seat. So our timeline was: - picked up the van June 30 - the rear seat not working was fixed July 3. It was at that time they ordered the new clip. - by the end of that week we had our key - The part came in July 14, which is when they also fully detailed the van When I went in the first time, Rick wasn't there so I was dealing the Sales Manage (Wasfi). He was VERY helpful. He seemed genuinely concerned with the fact that the vehicle did not go out to their standards, and made sure all the issues were corrected and gave us a bit of compensation for the inconvenience. While the issues, as mentioned, were minor, they were still things that should have been caught before the van went out. So thank you, Rick, Wasfi, and everyone at Southbank! More

Once I decided that I wanted it, Andrij was very helpful in putting together the deal for me, explaining every step of the process. Charbel was so great to work with in setting up my financing and gave me all the options available. Many thanks as well to the service team who had just a day and a half to get the car ready for me to drive away! More

Southbank quickly turned that terribly frustrating buying experience into a fun and exciting one. The sales consultant Jesse Gelineau was very professional and he made us feel at ease. He listened to what we wanted in a vehicle. He explained at length the features of the truck. He answered all of our questions without losing his cool. He was willing to work with us to get the right deal for what we wanted. He made the whole experience fun and exciting. We couldn’t ask for a better sales man Jesse was AWSOME! We had a few extras added to the truck and within a couple of days the truck was ready for pick up. The ladder rack was off centered when we picked it up, we went back and service aligned it no problem. From the sales man, the financial manager, the service department and other staff. Southbank is the place to go. Vehicle shopping can be a nightmare with kids but Southbank was able to accommodate us with my 2 ½ years old daughter while we finalized the deal. Southbank is now our #1 place to go. Proud owner of a Dodge Ram! More

Not only were they welcoming from the second I walked in the door, they truly listened to what I wanted in a vehicle. And, almost like fate, they had the perfect vehicle pulled up and ready for me to test drive within minutes. When it came time to work out a deal, Bruce and Dan were honest, helpful, professional, and respected my budget. (They are also hilarious!). Within 2 hours, I had found my vehicle, and had all financing submitted. Josee from finance was so incredible. She took the time to review my entire credit report with me, was honest, and worked very hard to get me a great interest rate with the banks, which she succeeded in doing!!! SHE EVEN CALLED ME THAT NIGHT FROM HER HOME to tell me all was approved. I was blown away by her level of service. Southbank went above and beyond in every aspect from beginning to end. I felt like a truly valued customer from the second I walked in the door. And their customer service, commitment to getting you a great deal, their transparent and honest approach was second to none. I will be definitely be a returning customer, and urge you not to waste your time going anywhere else! I can't say enough about this place!!! More

After a day spent at various Ottawa area dealerships looking at a variety of vehicles and feeling frustrated by insincere sales personnel who didn't r After a day spent at various Ottawa area dealerships looking at a variety of vehicles and feeling frustrated by insincere sales personnel who didn't respect appointment times, knew less about their vehicles than we did, did not take the time to listen to and respect our needs and budget, we nearly didn't keep our last appointment of the day - SO glad we persevered and ended up going to meet with Brandon Dallaire at South Bank!!! From the moment we walked in, every person we interacted with was genuine, friendly and professional. We were up-front with Brandon that we were there more out of curiosity about an ad we'd heard on the radio advertising an amazing deal on in-stock trucks that we couldn't resist checking out, but assuming our budget would likely still not stretch quite to a truck just yet. Regardless, he took the time to explain the promotions available in a non-pushy way, but MOST importantly, to listen to what we would be interested in and what our budget was to see if he might have any options that would work. After some initial discussion, he set us up with a test drive, and after some additional discussions following that, was able to zero-in on a perfect option for us that included only the features that were important to us, and none that weren't, bringing it all together to meet our budget. We never once felt pressured or 'wheeled and dealed' like so many other dealerships, and Brandon was extremely knowledgeable about their products - it felt like buying a truck from a 'truck guy' - someone who didn't just sell them, but loved them and was committed to finding the right truck for us, rather than just trying to make a sale, any sale. There was no predictable, drawn out back-and-forth or 'I gotta go beg to get you a deal' game-play - just straight forward discussions and resulting quotes. What a REFRESHING dealership experience!!! Once Brandon found us the perfect vehicle and price, we dealt with Mary Josee Haviland for the financing piece and she was also very genuine, knowledgeable (even though she was only a couple of weeks in with this particular dealership!) and efficient. She was able to provide the answers to all of our questions either directly or knew exactly where to look/who to ask. She provided good information and clear explanations and instructions. Last but not least, we returned the next day following purchase to ask a few questions about accessories and some follow-ups about maintenance packages we were interested in pursuing - as it was Brandon's day off, we spoke with Bruce Cameron who was also extremely professional, helpful and above all, knowledgeable! From start to finish, our experience with South Bank was REFRESHING and enjoyable - these professionals really know how to take care of their customers - best vehicle-buying experience we've ever had! If you're looking to deal with genuine, knowledgeable and professional people for your car-buying experience, South Bank is the place to go!!! More
