I have purchased five vehicles from this dealership, and based on that history, I expected reliable service, clear communication, and reasonable support when routine maintenance was needed. When my vehic based on that history, I expected reliable service, clear communication, and reasonable support when routine maintenance was needed. When my vehicle approached its scheduled oil-change mileage, I attempted to arrange service in advance. Despite my efforts, the earliest appointment offered was approximately two weeks after the oil change was due. I contacted the service department several times to explain the situation and ask whether an earlier appointment could be arranged, but I did not receive a helpful or timely response. A salesperson from whom I had purchased several vehicles also did not return my call. Because I could not obtain a reasonably timed appointment, I had the oil change completed at another shop and paid for it myself. I should not have had to choose between delaying required maintenance, limiting my use of the vehicle, or paying another business for a service I had tried repeatedly to arrange through the dealership. Based on my experience, I am concerned that the service department may not have adequate appointment availability to support customers who need routine maintenance within the recommended timeframe. A dealership should ensure that its service capacity and customer communication are sufficient to support the vehicles it sells and the customers who rely on it after purchase. I was also concerned about the information I received regarding the loan terms for my most recent vehicle purchase. Taken together, these experiences did not meet the standard of professionalism, transparency, or customer care I expected from a dealership where I have purchased five vehicles. More

Unfortunately, our experience purchasing a vehicle from Toyota South Pointe was extremely disappointing. From the beginning, we felt that transparency and customer service were lacking. We were assigned Toyota South Pointe was extremely disappointing. From the beginning, we felt that transparency and customer service were lacking. We were assigned to Patrick Baylon, who provided only limited information and was often difficult to reach. Responses to questions frequently required multiple follow-ups, and even simple inquiries seemed to require approval from management. Despite requesting a test drive several times, we were never given the opportunity to do one. The biggest issue, however, was how the pricing was handled. The vehicle price presented to us was higher than the price shown on Toyota's website. I specifically told Patrick that I wanted to discuss the pricing before moving forward, and he explicitly told me that we could discuss it. Shortly afterward, however, he asked for a $1,000 deposit to reserve the vehicle and had us sign paperwork. At no point were we clearly informed that the price was final and non-negotiable. Because we had been told that pricing could still be discussed, we reasonably assumed the numbers were preliminary. After waiting nearly three months for the vehicle, we only discovered at delivery that the price had effectively been locked in from day one. We felt misled and deceived. When we raised our concerns, management offered a small accessory as compensation. While appreciated, it completely missed the point. The issue was never about receiving a free accessory—it was about honesty, transparency, and ethical business practices. What happened next was even more concerning. After the purchase, Patrick sent text messages asking me to give him a 10/10 review score in exchange for a "small gift." I still have screenshots of these messages. Asking customers for perfect reviews while offering gifts in return is highly inappropriate and raises serious concerns about the credibility of customer feedback. We also spoke with management, but received no meaningful apology and no indication that the underlying issues would be addressed. Overall, we left feeling tricked, frustrated, and deeply disappointed. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Toyota South Pointe. This experience has significantly damaged our trust in both the dealership and, unfortunately, the Toyota brand. I rarely leave negative reviews, but potential customers deserve to know about our experience before making a major purchase. More
I purchased a brand-new 2025 Toyota RAV4 from South Pointe Toyota in Calgary, Alberta. Within just six months of ownership and fewer than 8,000 km of driving, the vehicle suffered a major engine failur Pointe Toyota in Calgary, Alberta. Within just six months of ownership and fewer than 8,000 km of driving, the vehicle suffered a major engine failure caused by a manufacturing defect. I was informed that A/C coolant leaked into the engine, resulting in extensive damage that requires replacement of a significant portion of the engine, including the head gasket. I purchased a new vehicle specifically to avoid the reliability concerns that can come with used vehicles. Instead, I am dealing with a serious factory defect that existed from the time the vehicle was sold. While Toyota has agreed to cover the repairs under warranty, the required parts are on backorder, and I have been told that the repairs will take approximately three months to complete. My concern is not only the inconvenience of being without my vehicle for an extended period, but also the long-term implications of having a major engine repair performed on a new vehicle. Once the warranty period expires, I will be left owning a vehicle that experienced significant engine damage and repairs at less than 8,000 km, despite no fault of my own. If any further issues arise from this I will have to pay for it out of pocket. South Pointe Toyota has provided me with a rental vehicle, which I appreciate. However, the rental is a Hyundai Elantra, a compact sedan, whereas the vehicle I purchased was a mid-size SUV. The loaned vehicle does not provide equivalent functionality or utility to what I paid for. I am disappointed that South Pointe Toyota has not offered a replacement vehicle for the defective one they sold me or another meaningful resolution given the severity of the defect and the length of time the vehicle will be out of service. When a brand-new vehicle experiences a major manufacturing failure within months of purchase, customers should not be expected to simply accept months of downtime and a substantially repaired engine as though nothing happened. I am sharing my experience so that other costumers can make informed purchasing decisions and so that South Pointe Toyota understands the impact these situations have on their customers. I hope they will reconsider how cases involving serious defects in new vehicles are handled and work toward a resolution that fairly reflects the circumstances. More

There was no walk-around inspection with me at drop-off and no signed damage report. I communicated directly with General Manager Brian Schmidt regarding this issue, however responsibility for the damage was denied based on photos taken without me present. I contacted Toyota Canada and AMVIC, but unfortunately the issue remains unresolved. What disappointed me most was the lack of accountability and professional customer care throughout the process. I recommend customers carefully document their vehicle before any service appointment. More
I decided to give South Pointe Toyota a 5 star review as a retired 69 year old oil field professional with 50 years experience in service. From a warm and welcoming receptionist to Chris Ye who welcomed me a retired 69 year old oil field professional with 50 years experience in service. From a warm and welcoming receptionist to Chris Ye who welcomed me and arranged for Ray to perform an hour training session combined with finalizing the details with finance (which most people dread). Cory Hogue had been welcoming and laid out the options in the most professional way without any “pressure tactics. Just a nice conversation about our stages in life and let me chose what worked for me. Buying a brand new Crown Signia is a big deal and they were so easy to work with through the buying process. When we had sorted out the deal I took a 4 hour bus ride to Calgary from Edmonton to pick up my new vehicle today and could not be happier. As a background I have worked out of Toronto, Houston and managed a multinational company from Antwerp Belgium. They were superb to work with! Just got back home after a 3 hour drive with my new Crown Signia and averaged 6.9 litres/100km driving 110-120 km/hr. Confirmed $1,300.00/year with Toyota by retiring my Hyundia Santa Fe Sport which was 12 years old. Could not be happier and the Signia steered itself all the way home on cruise control. I was amazed at the technology! More

Extremely disappointed with South Pointe Toyota. I was promised complimentary oil changes when I purchased my 2010 Toyota Corolla. The first one was honored, then they changed the rules. I was la I was promised complimentary oil changes when I purchased my 2010 Toyota Corolla. The first one was honored, then they changed the rules. I was later told I must pay for a vehicle inspection before they would provide the promised oil change — something that was never part of the original agreement. This is a bait-and-switch tactic, plain and simple. I’m not a one-time customer either. I previously bought a $70,000 truck here and regularly service my vehicles with them. Apparently, loyalty means nothing once the sale is done. My advice to potential buyers: do not rely on verbal promises from this dealership. Get everything in writing, or be prepared for them not to honor it. More
