Sales over safety (A Saga) Went to Toyota Sherwood Park in December of 2025. Not really sure if I wanted a Rav4 or a Prius, the sales associate pointed out the brand new 2026 Prius Plug-in Hybrid on t Park in December of 2025. Not really sure if I wanted a Rav4 or a Prius, the sales associate pointed out the brand new 2026 Prius Plug-in Hybrid on the sales floor. I had never seen the new design before and loved the color. The sales associate pointed out that you could drive around 70 per day on the battery alone. So the sales associated knew I had never owner a Prius before. I indicated an interest to buy the vehicle and he happily handed me off to his brother-in-law who works in finance. The sales manager hurriedly explained the extra insurances I apparently needed and I noticed that the interest rate in my paperwork was higher than the interest rate showed me by his relative in sales on his computer screen downstairs. Not feeling the courage, in the moment,to speak up I signed the paperwork. I was under tremendous pressure to buy a vehicle that would bring relief from the rising gas prices, and being in-between jobs, I did not make a fuss. Not thinking about winter tires and not realizing that the Prius is a front wheel driven vehicle, I started slipping and sliding on the frozen Edmonton roads after I drove the vehicle off the lot. Surprised at the less-than-forthcoming attitude of the Toyota sales team, I contacted the sales brother-in-law to ask whether Toyota could swop on winter tires on, instead of , as Toyota knows, insurance doesn'twork too good if you drive around in frozen winter conditions and end-up crashing. The sales manager replied in an email "You did not ask for winter tires". Shocked cold attitude of Mr Saleman and the staggering price of 4 small sized winter tires, I declined to buy immediately and went looking for alternative pricing in the City of Edmonton. After an exhaustive search, and to my horror, I realized that no winter tires befitting my Prius 2026 Plug-in hybrid were in stock, anywhere in the city. With a new vehicle unsafe to drive I could not drive anywhere for almost 2 weeks as I waited for my new tires to arrive at the Sherwood Park dealership. Becoming increasingly disillusioned, I asked for an installation discount of my winter tires to balance out my bereavement. I an email to the manager I explained my situation and asked for a free winter tire installation. The email was ignored. I became upset, picked up my new winter tires at the dealership and went to Kal Tire for an install. At Kall tire I realized that I didn't have the correct nut for the steel rims on my winter tires since the all season tires requires specific nuts. Some the salesman forgot to mention. Increasingly despondent, I emailed the sales brother-in-law manager a few weeks later demanding the cancelation of all my financial services I bought slightly out of touch with reality on that particular day. He ignored my emails for 3 days. After 3 days I called the dealership and asked front desk when he would be in next. I wanted to go in for a little chat. Another manager emailed me and apologized saying that :"The sales manager had just returned from a ten day trip to India, and was back in the office, but from now on l would be dealing him, not the original sales manager I dealt with prior. The whole situation did exactly pass the smell test so I kept demanding the cancellation of my add -on financial insurance product, to which the manager cordially responded that I had run out of time to cancel those. He did throw me a bone and allowed me to cancel the mechanical package, which was nice, I suppose. A few weeks later I struck a pothole and got a flat tire, realized I had no spare. Used the tire repair kit, and found out that if you use the repair kit. Your tire has 80 kms to go and then...doneski. No more tire. Too annoyed to head back into Sherwood, my father offered to go pick up my new tire at the Sherwood dealership that he ordered for me. At tire sales we, again came face to face with Sherwood Park Sales culture.Bad! More

From the moment we met, Burim was incredibly personable, making the whole process comfortable and stress-free. He patiently answered all of my questions thoroughly, ensuring I felt fully informed every step of the way. He didn't just sell me a car; he genuinely helped me choose the right vehicle for my needs. Once I decided on a RAV4, Burim made sure I was completely comfortable with the choice, walking me through all its features and setting up the controls before I drove home. He even arranged for my new RAV4 to be delivered as soon as possible. His attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction was truly appreciated!. More
Deklin is newer to vehicle sales and was great to deal with when I was looking to buy a used vehicle from him. He even made a walk-around video of the vehicle then sent it to me, all without me even askin with when I was looking to buy a used vehicle from him. He even made a walk-around video of the vehicle then sent it to me, all without me even asking for a video. He was quick to respond to any of my text messages I sent him as I was a two drive away from him and was unable to initially come in to look at the vehicle in person. Good luck in your new career Deklin. More
It's disappointing when a lazy and unprofessional manager like Zack Carey undermines the hard work of excellent sales staff such as Ivan Brusko. Unfortunately, Zack refused to evaluate our trade-in — a 2020 like Zack Carey undermines the hard work of excellent sales staff such as Ivan Brusko. Unfortunately, Zack refused to evaluate our trade-in — a 2020 Corolla with only 50 km mileage — unless we were willing to commit to a purchase before the evaluation was even done. That’s a backwards and unreasonable approach. As a result, we went to another dealership the same day, where we had no issues getting a fair and transparent trade-in evaluation. We completed our purchase there with no pressure, no games, and no expectation to agree to anything before understanding the value of our vehicle. When I asked Zack for his business card, he refused, saying he only gives them out once a deal is closed. That alone speaks volumes about his customer service mindset. If you're looking to buy a Toyota, I strongly recommend Toyota on the Trail. They treated us with professionalism and respect from the moment we walked in. More

Over the years, the service was consistently good—until my most recent visit. My truck needed a major repair due to a leaking driver-side cam tower. Instead of proactively checking whether the repair could be covered under my Extended Care Protection (ECP), the service team gave me a full repair estimate. Only after I contacted Toyota Canada myself and pushed the issue with the service department did they agree to process the repair under the ECP. What’s more frustrating is that service management didn’t respond to multiple inquiries regarding this issue. For a dealership I had trusted and returned to for years, this was a major letdown. This experience did not reflect the customer-focused service I had come to expect. Disappointed and will not return. More
We purchased our Toyota from this dealership 5 years ago and was Sherwood Park's customer till the posting of this review(who used to get all the services for our car from them). We expected at least some l and was Sherwood Park's customer till the posting of this review(who used to get all the services for our car from them). We expected at least some level of customer care, but our recent experience has been extremely disappointing. Our car alarm started going off at full volume in the middle of the night, disturbing our neighbours and cops also alerted to this. We disconnected the red wire temporarily from the battery when the cops told us to get rid of this issue. We repeatedly called the service department, explained the urgency, and requested an earlier appointment. Despite making it clear that the situation was chaotic and pressing, they refused to accommodate us — the earliest they offered was September 10 when we checked online there was availability of 5 September (like seriously, you are intentionally not ready to give us a priority). They apparently told us that they can direct us to disconnect it but then when we questioned if they would be responsible for any other damage due to this they simply refused. When we reached out directly to the ownership we were told that either the owner or general manager will contact us, there was no response at all. By contrast, another Toyota agency immediately understood the seriousness of the issue (they are literally giving us updates on regular basis since dropping our car there) and gave us an appointment right away, showing us what real customer service looks like. It’s frustrating and disappointing that the dealership we trusted to buy our car from treated us with such indifference during a stressful situation. They were basically saying we care about the money you give when you come but if you are expecting us to look after you as loyal customers that is not a thing in our book. I would also like to mention that she is one of the senior member, you can look her up on website and she had definitely spread a word directing everyone not to answer ours calls, otherwise how come having a fleet of numerous people not a single call was returned. She doesn't care at all and also not about her staff especially who sold the car to us and our friends (he also tried his best to get us accommodated on priority basis). Based on this experience, I would strongly urge others to think carefully before relying on this location for service. Still hoping to get the call from them to give the whole story and people involved. Will update this post if we will hear from them, if it is not edited that means they DON’T CARE. More
