The WORST experience I've ever had Buying a new car here was the worst experience I have ever had. Dealing with the dealer principal Brian Hickey and all his staff have been a nightmare. My brand new 2014 gen coupe has been in the shop more than it has been on the road. Not even a month in of having my vechicle my shifter boot needed to be replaced... not to mention the bumper needed to be fixed three times already. The solution to fixing my bumper from Jason (shop foreman) was pulling the other side out so it matched.. Oh? ok so we can just hope that my bumper will not fall off after that right ? After multiple times phoning asking to speak to the dealer principal, I was told my loaner vehicle got taken away due to the fact I had been calling too much and harassing everyone,not to mention the fact they wanted to reimburse me for my extended warranty (why? I'm not too sure) All I wanted was answers to why my car is already falling apart. Brian Hickey is the worst dealer principal I have ever dealt with, the staff is so rude, and i would never take my car back here again. I will never recommend this dealership to anyone, EVER. I wish Bob Bullock still owned this dealership, he was so sympathetic and understanding of customers problems whether they were right or wrong. More

Love Our 2008 Santa Fe Hyundai We live in Nakusp BC.. Diagnosed bad starter motor by Sherwood Park Hyundai AB.. Replaced July 14 2014 $659.00.. Not fixed! Got home same problem. 1st We live in Nakusp BC.. Diagnosed bad starter motor by Sherwood Park Hyundai AB.. Replaced July 14 2014 $659.00.. Not fixed! Got home same problem. 1st called SPH August. 16 th.. Called again August. 18 th. Told starter under warranty . Told .. Go to nearest Hyundai dealer... In Castlegar BC... 138 km away.. Called Castlegar BC Hyundai ... Told to check ground battery cable for rust where connected to vehicle...seems this is issue with some Santa Fe's. I cleaned post and cable and problem seemed to stop for few days. I called Jason and let him know...(8-20-14). (8-21-14.) 8:04am BC time) Jason still did not retun my call. (8-21-14) 9:14 am called Jason he said rust issue on ground wire not possible with my 2008 Santa Fe only 2012 Santa Fe. Said he'd call me back.fri. 8-22-14. (3:35 pm 8-21-14) 3:25 pm Jason did not call me . Called Jason (8-25-14) 9:15 am... Service tech was in car accident ... Jason will call me tomorrow . (8-26-14) Jason.. No call!. (8-27-14) called Gen Mgr. Brian at SPH ..11;58am. Said he would talk to Jason and J will take care of it... Jason called me 12:05 pm. Said to take car to Castlegar Hyundai to check it out and for C Hyundai to call him about problem. Went to Castlegar H. (8-28-14) 1:30 pm. Diagnosed: Ignition switch is problem.... Complete ignition system to be replaced . $620.00 ... Service mgr. at C Hyundai called Jason at SP H said Jason was very negative . (9-8-14) 8:24 am. Called Gen Mgr. BRIAN .. He said he will call me back in 20 or 25 minutes.... He never called me back that day or any other day... Still waiting (Sept. 27 2014) 10:20am. BC time. Jason called (9-09-14) 9:02 am. Said to email him copies of invoices from Castlegar H. jdrouillard@sphyundai.com I tried 6 times always retuned (not valid email address). So I had Castlegar H. Fax to SP H. My invoices. (9-10-14) 7:40 am. Jason said he rec. faxes...He would talk to BRIAN and will get back to me. I sent message to Jason's Facebook.... Sent message Sherwood Park Hyundai .... Sent feedback message to Hyundai Corporate Headquarters. Tues. (Sept..16 2014) Still no response from any one.... I'm just speculating.... Could Sherwood Park Hyundai dealership have taken advantage of a elderly WOMAN because she would not know what to do when problem with car started to happen again.... I am Impressed with this Dealership!! Oh, I had such a wonderful experience at this Dealership. I have bought a Tucson in the past, & had the pleasure of always dealing with Kendall in Se Oh, I had such a wonderful experience at this Dealership. I have bought a Tucson in the past, & had the pleasure of always dealing with Kendall in Service, who is efficient & friendly. I find the staff here so helpful, friendly & informative. Not pushy, which I like. Krystal is so patient in financing & helped me understand all the paperwork -- being a senior, she had to explain it more than once. And then had to change it all when I decided I needed winter tires!! And such a pleasant gal. Dale & Barb were great at the parts Dept when buying the tires. Dale took the time to explain the winter driving with the Genesis. And of course Shelley called to see how I was liking the car, great sales gal and so much fun. First time I have ever bought a car & had people be so helpful & call me by name. And when I picked up the car, Kit (in Service), took the time to once again explain the car - map, radio , etc. I am impressed with Sherwood Park Dealer Ship & will definitely being going back for service & future vehicles. However, new vehicle won't be for a long time as I love my Red Genesis. Thank you, Marian, Edmonton, AB More

The best vehicle buying experience! I swore I would never buy from a dealership again after too many bad experiences. However, I was looking at potentially trading in my vehicle for a ne I swore I would never buy from a dealership again after too many bad experiences. However, I was looking at potentially trading in my vehicle for a new Hyundai Santa Fe, so I decided to go check them out. With my guard up (I'll split instantly if anyone dares to push me), I drove through the lot and decided to take a walk. I was met by Shelley in the lot. Shelley and I sat down and hit it off right away. I like that she really listened to everything I said without trying to upsell. She laid out the options, was patient when I kept going between different 'trims' but she seemed to have a gifted instinct in knowing exactly what I would want. There was no trying to convince me one way or another. I also didn't have much time but told her I would be back - I loved that she didn't try and convince me to stay. The next day, I met with Shelley again and Brian who was the sales manager, and again, no pressure - just good 'off topic' conversation. As my mind was made up, I met Krystal in financing and they very next day drove off with my brand new customized Santa Fe. The cleanliness of the dealership was nice too :) I look forward to a long relationship with the folks there. They made me feel very comfortable and ensure any questions or concerns are taken care of promptly. More

Absolutely terrible dealership . The sales staff lied to me continuously. I regret buying my vehicle from this place. Darius, the finance guy, told me "it's illegal to sell a car in . Darius, the finance guy, told me "it's illegal to sell a car in Alberta without a block heater" which is a total lie. When I called him on his lie, he was rude to me. The "7 year" warranty turned out to be incomplete, not covering "any of the 8 computers or the air conditioning". Tim, the finance guy, tacked on bogus charges and was rude to me, telling me "there's no point in me selling you this car if you don't buy the $1800 winter package". Chris Bergen, the sales guy, represented the Elantra GT GLS Manual, which I test drove, as the Elantra GT L Manual, which I bought. When the car arrived, I discovered there is no way to open the trunk from outside the vehicle - you have to go inside the car, unlock the doors, and then go back and open the trunk with the button on the trunk, because the trunk has no key lock, and the car has no remote entry system. AMVIC, the Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council, informed me that the air conditioning tax should be included in the MSRP. When purchasing the car, the air conditioning tax was added again after the MSRP, as an extra tax. This raises the possibility that the dealership charged me the air conditioning tax twice, but submitted it to the government once. There was also a $599.00 "financial placement fee" to get the 0.3% interest rate. Bogus fee. It was supposed to be 0%, then it magically increased to 0.3%. Terrible experience here. The car was late, the staff were rude. I completely regret buying my vehicle here. More

Lately, My 2013 Santa Fe My experience with the Sherwood Park Dealership has been nothing but excellent - from the dealership to the Service Station. Lately, My 2013 Santa Fe had a major engine malfunction this past month, and needed replacing - Jason Drouillard and his team have been working tirelessly to help me battle the Big Corporation of Hyundai Canada to get the necessary work done (I'm now on a first name basis will all the service staff). Unfortunately, Hyundai Canada has not been so good about it, and so I now have a hard time recommending the brand, and will likely not buy Hyundai again due to this experience with Hyundai Canada. However, I will continue to use their service department for all my needs, including non-Hyundai vehicles. Thanks guys - keep being awesome. More

Can I give them no stars? Sherwood Hyundai has the worst customer service & quality of work I have ever had in my life. Our first interaction with the dealership was based on Sherwood Hyundai has the worst customer service & quality of work I have ever had in my life. Our first interaction with the dealership was based on winning a Walmart gift card from them. We came in, and we asked about it. Of course they pitched to us to buy a car. We were looking to buy at the time and the car seemed great so we did buy it. It was all fine except they would not give us the gift card. We had to basically beg for that gift card - which they ran out of in the end but then magically found one later to give to us. We didn't get it for several months. After that, the car, which was on warranty had a few squeaks, which were covered. We brought it in for the issues only to have it come back with them saying they fixed it but really didn't, or that they couldn't find it. Meanwhile, other squeaks came up. Same thing with those. Finally we had a ride along with the mechanic. He said he heard the squeaks - but then when we went to pick up the car, the service lady said that he basically retracted this and said we were driving on the shoulder. (Which is of course legit because once you drive on the shoulder your warranty goes out the window, right?). It took forever to get that problem actually fixed because the dealership had a 'failure to reproduce' the noise(s) each time we brought it in - which was probably a few times per issue - and at least 5 issues that I can think of. I think one time they called us during the day to keep us posted on the status of the car. Other than that, they would simply not do their jobs, and then let us know at the end of the day that nothing worked. This was incredibly frustrating, especially when we asked to be updated throughout the day. With one repair, they had to replace our head unit twice. And guess what - they damaged the panel the head unit sits on - I would guess that it would probably knock off $5,000 off the resale value of the car. This is what they are supposed to be fixing today, replacing for us, free of charge. Over the course of all of this, we have been using their shuttle services to get to work and back. On two occasions, I completely forgot I would not need a ride back from the shuttle, but I unfortunately forgot to let them know. I felt really bad and told them I was really sorry. When I ended up getting back to the dealership, the lady told me that that cannot happen and that they probably won't be able to give me rides anymore. I apologized and said I understood. Because I've totally been there and I get it. Then, today when I got a ride to work from the dealership in the shuttle, the driver hassled me about it again and about wasting their time- in front of someone else. This irritated me because I already apologized, but mostly because the dealership's screw ups are the number one reason I was there. Of anyone's time that shouldn't be wasted it is mine. I waited over a year to get our car fully functional again after how much problems it had. It also irritated me because the driver spoke of something I did wrong in front of someone else. I feel extremely disrespected. I actually like the car we bought, but it is not worth the cost of time, frustration, and disrespect that came with it. More

LIBERTY IS TRULY THE SHERWOOD PARK HYUNDAI'S ANGEL!!! I've seen and watched this lady in some commercials and concerts locally and witnessed how she supported many charities in our community and back home I've seen and watched this lady in some commercials and concerts locally and witnessed how she supported many charities in our community and back home. WOW! I can't believe that this lady can sing and dance gracefully BUT SHE CAN ALSO SELL CARS!!! How could you say NO to her if she would do everything to get you a best deal on earth? I've been robbed by those greasy salespersons in other dealership, but here with this down-to-earth and very humble person (LIBERTY) treated us beyond and above my spectations. Smart, elagant as ever and very professional! I've tried to trick her but with her patience and awesomeness, SHE'VE WON ME! If only I can give her 100AAA+++ I will give her that! Keep it up dear Liberty! Thank you for for the big help. Kudos to your team too. Definitely will bring more people for you. God bless you! More
