No Ethics They gave me a cupon for a cheap oil change (like $10) but when I tried to use it they wanted to charge me $70. Their printed word is worth nothing They gave me a cupon for a cheap oil change (like $10) but when I tried to use it they wanted to charge me $70. Their printed word is worth nothing & BTW an oil change at a lube shop is $40 on sale & $54 regular price. Also, when I had a transmission failure they refused to honor the warranty saying that I had abused the vehicle. Even though there were no cracks on any housing or any marks on the vehicle other than it was dirty. Plus they got mad when I tried adding fluid myself when I was stuck at a garage out on the highway. This repair would have cost me several thousand dollars except that SMP readily took the job & repaired it for free. A shout out to the lady who got a successful tranny flush...Check your maintenance schedule from the manufacturer. they aren't necessary, at least for 160,000km & rear wheel alignment? What vehicle steers with the back tires? More
Poor communication Dropped my car off for an oil change at 11:00 AM for an oil change and was expecting it to be finished around 1-2 PM. When I did not receive a call I Dropped my car off for an oil change at 11:00 AM for an oil change and was expecting it to be finished around 1-2 PM. When I did not receive a call I called the dealership at 3:00 PM and my car had not even been started yet and would be going in around 3:40. It was 5:30 (a half hour before the dealership closed) and still no call. I attempted to reach the service department 3 consecutive times and could not get through. I then got a ride down to the dealership and asked a different person about my car because the original girl was not there anymore. The lady I had talked to the first time apparently forgot to tell me about the wait time and failed to communicate any sort of information to other staff. More

Once I determined my price, he tried to guilt trip me into raising the amount I was willing to pay. He promised a fix to the vehicle after purchase and it was a huge hassle. The service department failed to communicate a timeline properly and it was difficult to nail down a courtesy car as initially promised. When I brought the vehicle in, the salesman was a complete jerk to me, barely acknowledged my existence and then was rude in his tone when he asked me questions. He lied about a family member calling in about it and repeatedly tried to tell me it was a rear strut. I will never return to this dealership and I recommend people avoid it in favour of SMP or Wheaton. More

Disappointing and deceiving I brought my 2011 Chevy Cruze in for service because the vehicle had a number of recalls that needed to be dealt with. Additionally, our climate cont I brought my 2011 Chevy Cruze in for service because the vehicle had a number of recalls that needed to be dealt with. Additionally, our climate control system stopped working completely - a necessary feature in the winter! I took the car in and there was no initial issues. Later that afternoon, Kristen called saying that during the work, the mechanic noticed some other problems that needed to be fixed. Not knowing anything about cars and thinking that these things sounded pretty serious, I said go ahead and fix them (even after hearing that it would cost $1500 - 90% of which would be labor costs. Yikes! Why is labor so expensive??). An hour later I talked to my partner about it, since he knows a lot more about cars than I do. He wasn't sure that some of the repairs were really needed, so he called back at 2:45 PM and spoke to Kristen to get more information. After some discussion, we decided that we didn't want some of the repairs done. Kristen said that the mechanic hadn't started the particular repairs yet, so she would put a "stop work" order in for them, which would cut our $1500 bill in half. Great, no problem. Additionally, we asked her to take a photo of the problem (a leak) and e-mail it to us so that we could assess the severity of the leak. About 40 minutes later, we got an e-mail with the photo. When we go to pick up the car the next day, we were charged $1500. Thinking there must be some mistake, we ask to talk to Kristen, who had been there, but then suddenly (conveniently?) had to drive to the Regina dealership. We were told she was on her way to Regina so we couldn't call her - however, all Sherwood employee cars have Bluetooth so we convinced the manager to call her. When we got ahold of her to ask why were being charged for work we didn't want done. Kristen said that she went to put a stop work order in, but when she did, the mechanic had already completed all the work, and so they had to charge us. BUT WAIT.... We called her at 2:45 PM and got a photo of the problem part in question 40 minutes later - UNFIXED. So how could the work have been completed before we called if they had sent us a photo 40 minutes later?? After a lengthy discussion with the service manager regarding our disappointment and the need for transparency and honesty, he only agreed to knock of $350 from our bill. So we still ended up paying $300 for services that we specifically asked not to have. Super disappointed - not about the actual service on the car, but about the fact that Sherwood employees were being dishonest. Also - labour costs are xxxxxx ridiculous. I think we only paid $100 for actual parts. Everything else was labour. I will find a different place to service my car in the future. More

Decent place to buy a used car I have purchased 2 used vehicles from this dealer over the last few years and my Father has purchased 3, in all cases we were treated with respect and I have purchased 2 used vehicles from this dealer over the last few years and my Father has purchased 3, in all cases we were treated with respect and given a fair price with fair financing. The Finance mangers are little stubborn when pushing extended warranties and other extras to tack on but they never crossed the line and always showed respect for me and my Father. I cannot speak about the service side because I never used them. More

After an hour of waiting the person from the service counter told me that the mechanics were in a meeting and they would be starting the oil change shortly.
