2013 Chev with Rust spots? I don't think so!!!!! My first brand new vehicle, a 2013 Chev Equinox. I was so proud of it and felt great driving it. The Sales people were terrific at the time. Within 2 months of owning the my car, I noticed small rust spots on the back door! I took it in to Ron Hodgson to see what they had to say, "Its Rock Chips!!! Pardon me? Rock chips are not orange and rust coloured! I was so ticked off! I took it in for servicing for a transmission seal that was sweating that was noticed by another dealership when on vacation. Ron Hodgson sure didn't want to deal with that either! They did, cause they had no choice. I also asked once again about the so called "Rock Chips"....again was told sorry its not covered under warranty, yet on the GM Canada website it says that all rust is covered for the first 5 years! I called GM Customer Service in Oshawa (head office) I was told that it was "rail dust" and not rock chips at all! My customer service rep explained that since vehicles are shipped via rail and are basically open railway cars, sparks fly from the wheels and land on the vehicles and burn through the clear coat! The customer service Rep called the dealership 5 times with no response! Finally the Service Manager told the rep that he knew nothing about this and the last time I had the car in was for an oil change! WHAT???? I have the invoicing for the service etc to prove differently. The Customer Service Rep told me that because my warranty has now run out - this is about 1 year later, that I will have to pay to have this fixed!!!!!! Forget it!! I will never, ever buy a car from this dealership again! I now own a 2013 Chev Rust Bucket bought at Ron Hodgson!!!!! I tell everyone I know about my experience with this as well! Its buyer beware! I now go to a different dealership to have regular servicing and Ron Hodgson Dealership will never see my vehicle or me ever again. To top it all off, my husband spent 35 years in Oshawa at the Truck Plant (that is the reason for buying GM) and this is how they treat loyal employees and just the general public! Shame on you!!!!!! More

Cadillac serviced I recently had my 2006 Cadillac Srx brought in for some service work. This was my first visit to Ron Hodgson Service Dept. I had the service dept. do an inspection on the vehicle to see what was needed. Sean was always in contact with me and let me know exactly was needed and what was happening. He advised me on what was important and what could wait. I was reluctant to bring in my vehicle to a dealership again due to the fact I always seem to run into some sort of bad experience in the past. I would definitely recommend this service dept. My experience was very good to say the least. More
