Hi Roadrider, Thanks for your review. All reviews positive or negative allow Renfrew to address issues and improve their service. We are sorry you had a negative experience with our dealership. It is always disappointing when your expectations are not met. Your review focus is how the salespeople did not pay attention to you. For this we are sorry. I talked to one of the salespeople who remembered you and this is his comment. Whenever someone enters the dealership you have to try and determine the type of potential buyer he/she is from the way they enter the dealership. Some people look around for a salesperson’s help the minute they arrive. Some people have done lots of internet vehicle research and know more about a particular vehicle than the salesperson does and just want to look on their own. Some people like to look then ask for a salesperson. In a sales person’s world, you are either too attentive or not attentive enough. In your situation the salesperson thought you were on a mission and just wanted to look on your own. Apparently he was incorrect and again we are sorry for that. When you went outside he thought you had left, that was his mistake as we do not have cameras that cover the New Car lot. With regards to your comment about the salespeople on their phones. Much of the communication between seller and buyer is now done through email and text, smartphones are an intergal part of the sales process. I am providing my personal email address (gcole@renfrewchrysler.net) in the hope that you will respond and let me know if Renfew can do anything to win you back as a shopper. I will personally meet you at the dealership if you give me a time you are available. Please don’t let one misjudgement by a salesperson be reflective on the whole of the company. Renfrew still has unbelievable low vehicle prices because the Hail Sale has been extended into October, check out our website. Renfrew has a great Service, Parts and Collision department and they just opened an Express Lane Service for quick things like oil changes and tire service while you wait. Thanks for your response. I went to Varsity Chrysler under the same circumstances and as soon as I walked in the door the receptionist lifted her head (unlike your staff) and made eye contact. That was a safe and effective sign of interest. She connected me with a sales person who walked me through the Jeep I was interested in. It was a no pressure, highly informative experience. Yes, I could have approached someone and asked for help and I'm sure I would have been attended to. But In my opinion, eye contact is the first step in connecting with a customer, followed by an offer to help. Walmat does it, Royal Bank does it, Lexus does it really well. It might be interesting to have some members of your sales staff go to the Lexus dealer and check it out and report back how they felt. David
