My story is like that of any typical guy who dreams of owning a Porsche. I was obsessed from age 10 but hadn't had the opportunity to sit in one until I visited Pfaff Porsche last winter to see if what I owning a Porsche. I booked an appointment with Maurizio Gatto, sales extraordinaire, and showed up to the dealership with my wife and 1 year old, expecting to get a few raised eyebrows as we looked at the various 911s on the lot. To my delight we were greeted like family and the atmosphere was very welcoming. After some discussion and a few visits, Maurizio and I closed a deal on an immaculate 2005 Carrera, fully loaded, in my dream color combination - Guards Red with tan leather interior. The car itself is stunning. The curves, the color, the glossy paint finish... superb. But the driving is amazing. The car sticks to the road, and I love the sport-button that transforms it from Dr. Jekyll to Mr. Hyde. What an engineering masterpiece. And while these cars are extremely reliable, they aren't immune to problems - this car came with a two year Certified Pre-Owned warranty which gives me great peace of mind. I have to attest that Maurizio was extremely professional through our entire purchase process. From day one he assured me that he was there to help answer any questions, and not to hard sell me on anything. And he was very knowledgeable about the car's history, performance, and options (both factory and aftermarket). The service team is also exceptional. Being a 2005 there were a few minor hiccups that we had to sort out when I took delivery, but they were all handled efficiently and since then it has been smooth sailing. The service team is professional, courteous, and the communication has been great. The unusual story: I had been looking at other marques besides Porsche: Audi, BMW; and I even looked at Lotus and used Aston Martins. Even considered a Mustang. Most of those dealers rarely gave me the time of day when I walked in. When I walked into Pfaff on a very busy Saturday, Tom approached me and asked if I needed help. He answered my questions straight away, and then asked if I wanted a test drive. He actually let both me and my wife take a test drive, and we were both hooked. Tom showed us what the car was REALLY capable of, while I hung on for dear life! THAT'S how you do a test drive! In the weeks that followed he always made himself available to answer further questions, and never hestitated when we asked for further test drives. His sheer enthusiasm for the product made us really want to buy the car. He earned that sale. When it came time to negotiate, Tom was very easy going, and spent as much time as needed to work out a deal we were happy with. THAT'S how you sell a car! I met Tom many years ago and got reacquainted recently when I went in to test drive a Panamera. He demonstrated, almost, how far you can push the car. Though I bought my 2006 C2S in 2007 from the states, I've had nothing but good service from both Pfaff and Pfaff Tuning. I recently had a transmission problem that was clearly a manufacturing defect. The service manager Mike has been great to deal with, and was able to get Porsche to replace it through their good will program. I'll certainly continue to buy Porsche. They clearly stand behind their product and Pfaff was great to deal with. For basic service, Pfaff does a good job of making sure you don't have to wait around, and scheduling things nicely. Side note, turns out Mike also makes the Pfaff Tuning exhausts (he re-works the stock internals). Sounds amazing without being even remotely obnoxious. Highly recommend it. More
