Hi Geoff, I have looked into this issue and have a good idea with what has happened to your plates. When you purchased your car we put your old plates on a plate frame and put them on your purchased car. At some point within the next couple of days you removed the plate frame and reattached your old plates without a frame and told us there was damage to one plate. You were directed to bring the plate in and we would consider the issue. Two months later the plate fell off your car and is now lost. Is this correct? We could have possibly fixed the damage to the plate but if the plate is now missing we cannot replace it for you. The picture you have added to the post certainly shows damage after the plate frame has been removed as we did not see any damage when put on your vehicle. We understand you have an emotional attachment to the plates but do not feel it’s our responsibility for them not being fully secured on you vehicle when in fact we were not the last people to put them on.
