Buying My First Vehicle Disappointed is the word I would use to describe my experience with this dealership. From my initial conversation with the sales team, to the business Disappointed is the word I would use to describe my experience with this dealership. From my initial conversation with the sales team, to the business managers, and now with the service manager. I shopped around for over 1 year before I could find the vehicle I wanted. I bought a 2012 Ford Escape from this dealership. Mark helped me first. He seemed nice and helpful like all great sales people. Once I decided to buy I went and saw Marcello, the business manager. He began to give me higher than normal interest rates, which I told him I wasn't interested in. He assured me it was as low as he could go so I told him I would buy on a line of credit and come back with the money. Once I mentioned this, he was suddenly able to lower the interest rate to one I felt comfortable with. Before I signed any paperwork I specifically asked that the AC be looked at by a mechanic because this year of Escape's have been known to have AC failure (my father has the same one and warned me about it in order to avoid having the AC go). So they assured me it would be looked at. Once they let me know everything came back A OK, I began to look through the paperwork, only to find MANY hidden fees. I left the dealership as I was very frustrated. After 2 weeks, I still wanted the vehicle, swallowed by pride and went back and paid for the vehicle, including the fees. Less than one year later, after 1 summer's use of the AC, it has now broken. I brought the vehicle in for my oil change and asked that they take a look. The service rep told me it would be 160 dollars just to look at the issue. I was then passed on to a service manager, then to sales rep (who tried to get me to trade up), and then to the Sales Manager Dom. This manager assured me this was not their problem or their responsibility to assist me in diagnosing the vehicle and that I would be subject to paying the 160 dollar charge. I explained that the situation I am now in, is the EXACT one I tried to avoid. He shrugged it off and continued to let me know that it was not the dealerships problem or responsibility. I let him know that I would have no choice but to take it to the better business bureau for the owner to deal with, his response was that the owner would not be phased by this because, again, it was not the dealerships fault. Needless to say, I am saddened and deeply disappointed by the people I have dealt with here, and would not recommend my friends or family buy from here. To leave on one positive note, Steven Rothweiller was a small beacon of light in this dealership's darkness. More
