Pleasant experience for buying a vehicle. Initially wanted to look at Terrains and then to shop other dealers as well to find a new SUV. Called the dealership and made an appt. with Mandar Naik for Saturday morning to look at 2020 Terrains and subsequently look at 2019's as well. When arrived for my appt. the car was already running and warmed up to go for a test drive. When we returned Mandar mentioned that they had a relatively new 2019 Terrain with under 10's km. which I then drove and decided to make an offer which was subsequently accepted. During this time I was impressed with Mandar in that he was willing and able to answer any and all questions that I had. Good team effort at Okotoks GM My search for a 2017 - 2018 GMC Duramax 3500 SRW was difficult as there are not many around. Mandar checked their data base and came up empty. What impressed me about Mandar is that he thought "outside the box" and checked out the back parking lot to see if there were any trucks headed for auction in the US. Mandar got back to me promptly to let me know there was a fleet truck that may suit me. Full points for going the extra mile to find a truck. The condition of the truck was overall good. There is no doubt that the left box side had been replaced, and both Kyra and Mandar went above and beyond to determine what had happened. With truck being a fleet rental, who knows, but I appreciated their efforts, even though the CarFax was clean. Further to this, technically this wasn't even their vehicle which further speaks to their efforts to make this sale happen which I appreciated. It needs to be added that when you go to Okotoks GM you are "assigned" a sales person which is normal. What isn't normal, in my experience, is the culture at Okotoks GM of team. Yes Mandar was my salesperson, however multiple folks took part in the sale of the truck, including Kyra, Cindy in finance, Adam and Ken in parts. When you are as particular as me, and you are purchasing a past fleet rental, it could be a recipe for disaster. The team at Okotoks GM did their best to ensure my expectations were met.
