Mr. Vinette, I apologize again for your poor experience. I would be happy to get the Yukon back in the shop and look at the rear axle seals to confirm the leaks quoted. If we made a mistake, we would own it. As you mentioned in our short phone conversation, you already had the required brake work completed. We perform dozens of out of province inspections monthly and would never risk our facility license by performing work not required or passing a vehicle with items below required specifications. This service manager, Tyler, called the day I wrote the initial review. He was dismissive and condescending. all he offered was an apology for "My NOT understanding" what a leaky seal looked like. He offered for me to waste more of my time and bring him the vehicle so he "Could show me the leak". He didn't appear concerned at all that another GM dealer couldn't find a leak when they re-did the inspection. They tried to defraud me and got CAUGHT. But, of course, they deny and deny. I asked simply for a return of the inspection fee, plus the $25 we had to pay to get another form from the licensing office. But, rather than make any attempt to clean up their image, they are just willing to try to "explain" away their behaviour. DON"T go to to OKOTOKS GM, if you're looking to deal with honest people. You won't find them there. Sincerely, Mr. Vinette P.s. They failed the vehicle based on a windshield chip, which was not within the blade swipe zone and therefore not a point for inspection failure. OKOTOKS said the windshield was not repairable. This was also a fraudulent lie. The rear brakes were replaced, because we like to keep our vehicles in perfect shape, not just OK. The brake work and chip repair was also done at the other GM dealer and the vehicle passed. I also brought in my Sierra, to the other dealer, and paid $5700 to make required repairs to pass inspection. The money isn't the issue. OKOTOKS GM's lack of integrity is.
