My husband and I were looking for the F-150. We went to NORTHSTAR Ford because it was close to home. Thinking all Ford dealerships would be the same price, discounts etc. Wow we're we wrong. We took the o NORTHSTAR Ford because it was close to home. Thinking all Ford dealerships would be the same price, discounts etc. Wow we're we wrong. We took the one truck that was shown to us for a 10 min test drive. We liked it but my husband told the salesperson he thought the steering was pulling to one side. The salesperson said he could have the wheel alignment checked.....it's a brand new truck with 70km on it!!! We went back to his office and he did some quick numbers and went to talk to the manager. Came back with a price that we weren't crazy about. Asked about some other discounts (did you know Ford gives Costco members $1000. off???) they said no. We asked if they could throw in a remote car started. Sales guy went back to talk to manager. We still weren't sure because of the cost and the high payments, said we would think about it. When then get a call from the sales manager saying he was sure he could make something work for us, he got the payments down to what was reasonable. Asked us to come in and we could go over everything. Long story short, sales manager sat in the office with the sales guy who hovered over us pushing the paper closer us repeatedly and touching the pen as if to cue us to sign.......we then went to the finance office to complete the paperwork for a loan. As we were leaving the finance guy stopped us and said he needed $1000 as a deposit.......I questioned this and he said $500 would be good.......foolishly I gave it to them. The deal was not sitting right with me and I called another dealership for a quote and didnt mention that I had already looked at one. It was significantly less with more features. I asked if they required any sort of deposit etc. NO!!! We decided not to purchase the truck from NORTHSTAR Ford. They were notified that we would not be purchasing it. We then got a call from the sales guy who said he "heard a dirty little rumor that we weren't buying their Ford" Needless to say they did not return our $500. What a lesson we learned. Every dealership is separately owned. My advice, shop around and buyer beware of NORTHSTAR Ford in Calgary More
I used to have good service when this dealership was Crowfoot Ford. Since it was bought out, I find the customer service is pretty poor. They cannot schedule appointments properly. They charge for diagn Crowfoot Ford. Since it was bought out, I find the customer service is pretty poor. They cannot schedule appointments properly. They charge for diagnosis on top of doing the work. They should deduct the diagnosis fee if you get the work done there like they used to do under Crowfoot Ford. The service people at the front desk talk as though I do not know anything about cars. I only go there now to get things serviced that no other place can do. I would not buy another new vehicle from them. The staff that I knew all moved to another dealership downtown. My vehicle has had major services and mid range services done there over the last 12 months then today they tell me that the tracking has not been done for over 2 years. Just what am I paying for? Sale manager was rude and unprofessional, he called and gave me wrong info about finance possibility, and when I got there, he change his promise and gave me another offer. When I asked him I want to mak gave me wrong info about finance possibility, and when I got there, he change his promise and gave me another offer. When I asked him I want to make sure I will get approved for the second offer and after that I will decide, he asked for 500$ for processing my application (for the car that I have not chosen), and when I refused to pay, he said if I can not pay 500$ deposit I cant afford a car, and asked me to leave. I was confused and angry. All the salesperson try to push buyers, but these guy are doing this in the extreme unprofessional and impolite way. I financed an escape from another ford dealership in NE. Dont go there, they are either very new in their business, or I ran into wrong person. More
They are totally dishonest. I wanted to order a car with the options and the color I wanted, but they wanted to sell me something they had stock. To convince me, they gave me a discount on the Canadian Tour the options and the color I wanted, but they wanted to sell me something they had stock. To convince me, they gave me a discount on the Canadian Touring Package of 616$, but to do so they increased the price of that package of 700$ so they made even more money. I also had a discount through a group rate, but to make more money they increased the MSRP price. They basically charged me 1142$ more than what they were supposed to. When I realized they screwed me up I went to talk to Peter Faller the senior sales manager and after a long fight he accepted to refund me the 1142$. But do you know how he did that? Without telling me, he contacted the 3M Company who did treatment on my car and asked them to refund him the treatment and with that dirty money he paid me back, but canceled my warranty on that product. I had many others complain about that dealership. Here are some of them: When I went to the dealership to take possession of my new car at the appointed time, the car wasn’t ready. I had to come 2 days later and when I got the car there was scratches on the outside body, the 3M job wasn’t completed, there was black stains on the inside fabric and the dash was all dusty. I didn’t have the cargo package and the 4 seasons matts I paid for… They also don’t have courtesy cars, so you need to rent a car with Enterprise. Even if you have an appointment in the morning for a 1h job it might takes 2 days before you get your car back. Stay away from them! More
We purchased a ford edge from this dealership as it is very close to where my wife works which would make the service easy as she is a block away from work. She have been back to this dealership twice an very close to where my wife works which would make the service easy as she is a block away from work. She have been back to this dealership twice and she had had two bad experiences and now refuses to go back because she felt that the service guys were rude to her and didn't care to listen to what she had to say. We use to have a toyota and went to Charlesglen and have to say there is no comparison when it come to customer service between the two dealerships. I have to ad that both times we took the edge in was for warranty work that was declined. We paid the 1st time but not the second. We now plan to go to a different dealership. Two bad experiences is enough and we won't go back! More
I brought my vehicle for oil change and request to fix front passenger side. But when I pick up my vehicle, I noticed that some white mark on driver side tire. Then i asked service person about the tire. front passenger side. But when I pick up my vehicle, I noticed that some white mark on driver side tire. Then i asked service person about the tire. They fixed driver side tire. They did not fix passenger side tire. They fixed driver side tire without my permission. This means, they do two wrongs!! I would like to say, I do not recommend this dealer anymore. More

To change wiper is too inch. I talked service, but he said 18 is recommended by FORD. After I came back home and check the web. It should be 24 inch. To change wiper is too easy job. More
Charged me 140.00 labour + 17.00 shop supplies to confirm what I told them the problem was. Then told me the part needed to fix the problem was obsolete and could not be ordered from ford, but if I wanted to what I told them the problem was. Then told me the part needed to fix the problem was obsolete and could not be ordered from ford, but if I wanted to try and find the part myself they would install it for 350.00. Talking to the service manager was a total waste of time. More
Quoted $1500 for a repair we later had completed at Universal Ford for $200. On another occasion our car was dented when taken in for regular maintenance. They denied any responsibility. They have v Universal Ford for $200. On another occasion our car was dented when taken in for regular maintenance. They denied any responsibility. They have very limited room and shunt vehicles around in tight spaces - we're certain our vehicle was "dinged" in the process. Watch out. More
Highly incompetent, have tried for 60,000 km to have leaks repaired on my 09 Ford F150. Vehicle has sat at the dealership for up to two weeks at a time. The final insult was being charged $80.00 for dec leaks repaired on my 09 Ford F150. Vehicle has sat at the dealership for up to two weeks at a time. The final insult was being charged $80.00 for declining to fix a transmission leak under warranty. They stated it was not leaking. When I climbed under the vehicle and took photographs of the fluid staining, I was told that it was "only weeping, that in order for it to be fixed under warranty, it had to have actual drops dripping while it was in the shop." The service manager's arrogant answer was twofold; first he accused me, in front of other customers, of trying to get him to commit warranty fraud which is a total insult. When confronted with the photos of the leakage, his only response was the weeping comment, and if I wanted him to actually look into the matter again, then sign another work order so he could charge me twice. Total arrogance. More
