RIPPED OFF IN MY OPINION Booked 2006 Focus vehicle in for service 125Km expecting a $ 75-80 bill... Perfect been doing this since I bought the car new from FORD some 10 years Booked 2006 Focus vehicle in for service 125Km expecting a $ 75-80 bill... Perfect been doing this since I bought the car new from FORD some 10 years ago. Service employee(s) ....... Great Service felt like I was taking part in a Sandals Advert. Asked for basic service and for indication to repair broken drivers door lock having researched Google and YouTube and also being aware that at a prior service they wanted to charge me some $ 400 to replace a Fog Lamp (Still Works) with a cracked glass which I declined previously. So Yesterday I was upsold a price reduced wheel alignment $ 99 with a $ 50 charge to investigate if I actually needed one, the $ 50 to be credited back if I went ahead and had it done ...... Great, however adjustment was very minimal, did I need it done .. probably not. Then upsold a bargain $ 99 multipoint inspection with the service .... accepted but requested no tire rotation normal charge $ 49 odd ...... Ok fine no problem, no further discount on not rotating the tires, ok acceptable,. Price estimate for door lock $ 189.75 OK accepted but thought it to be rather expensive. So yes I was prepared to pay +$ 99 +$ 99 +- $ 189.75 or about $ 400 odd ......up to now all perfect no complaint, in fact I do not think that I have ever had so much attention thrust on me in my lifetime, being rather cynical I thought of the phrase "Beware of the wolves dressed up in sheep's clothing". Phone call came, 1. Told I need new front brake pads as only 4mm and Rotors replaced /machined at $ 350 odd each wheel if I remember correctly, I requested new brake pads only .........Was told that they did not do that and I had to have rotors done as well ....... I declined 2. Told I need new Linkages as they were loose, price some 3-400 of each if I remember correctly..... I declined. 3. Told door lock broken and would cost some $ 450 for part plus labor . I declined 4. Told they were having a special on flushing Brake fluid out and putting in new fluid ? I Declined 5. Was told that my bill would be well in XS of $ 2000, by this time I was now really irritated and felt that the unfortunate service Tech had become obsessed with this so called great deal /offer and really needed my money ? I felt that I was being RAILROADED and not by the service rep but by the underlying Corporate Sales or Marketing policies that the unfortunate rep was obliged to follow Any How, got a call to say the car was ready and that my bill was $ 450 odd, was a bit confused as to how it got there checked it before paying to find that they had charged me an obvious extra $ 189.75 for the door lock, I asked if they had fixed it and they said no that is the charge for telling me that it is broken ? YES FOLKS IT COST ME $ 189.75 FOR THEM IN THEIR INFINITE WISDOM TO TELL ME THE LOCK WAS BROKEN plus Tax of course. Yes Folks I saw the price on the estimate that I signed along with the $ 99 Alignment and $ 99 Service charge, forgive me for thinking that that was to repair the lock. Did I see this coming ......... unfortunately not, talk about feeling like a complete idiot, I spoke to management about it and they told me this was standard policy and that I should pay up and lodge a complaint when I received an email requesting me to rate the service, the wolves started to undress and the sheep started disappearing into the back room, I needed to pay and get out of there, I do not want my experience of Jan 24 2017 to cloud your judgement, it has however unfortunately made me even more Cynical and realize just how sad and shallow it all is. I have a lot more that I could add to this from a corporate aspect should anyone ever read this. Will I go back there you may ask, all I can say is that I have learned that when you are forced to rely on or trust in someone else's so called expertise watch out for the wolves disguised as sheep and realize that the real sheep are probably only sheep, and yes I feel that it is time to move on. I am not mentioning any names, I believe that each person I worked with IS doing exactly what Corporate wants from them otherwise they would not be there, trust is most important to me and I feel that no longer exists. More

Mitch in the service department was very professional and friendly and managed to save me money. They also found some repairs that had to be handled. Repairs were covered by warranty. More
Quick and Courtious I had some warranty work done and my car washed. My car was ready in half the time and was nice and clean when I picked it up. Friendly Service With Promises Kept I found that the followup from the service staff was good in that they reminded me that I had a vehicle needing service due to a recall. It took long I found that the followup from the service staff was good in that they reminded me that I had a vehicle needing service due to a recall. It took longer than it should have to get the vehicle in considering that it was a potential brakes problem... but at least they ordered the parts and did indeed contact me when they arrived urging me to get that repair taken care of. The staff was smiley. How can you not like that? They were friendly, efficient and called me before doing any service that I hadn't asked for. The shuttle driver "Jim" gets an important nod as well. He is an especially nice guy and was also on time and efficient. More

The vehicle was delivered on time. Now a days. most of the dealers provide a complementary car wash. North Star with so many locations can provide one too. More

Unfortunately I was turned away with a 10 day waiting period as they were all booked. Northstar was the exception and made a special effort to get the truck in to determine if it was a simple fix allowing me to continue the holidays with the vehicle or park it immediately. Great service from Cassandra and the tech's in the back. Thanks again. More
