Our 2014 RAV4 with less than 155,000 km required a total transmission rebuilt because of "internal self-destruction" just days after being checked and transmission fluid topped up by Toyota. It cost us ove transmission rebuilt because of "internal self-destruction" just days after being checked and transmission fluid topped up by Toyota. It cost us over $7,000 for total rebuilt by a 3rd party who specialize in transmission rebuilt. It was disheartening to know that Toyota were not able to help with the cost of repair because we took it to a 3rd party who specializes in transmission rebuilt. Toyota also didn't admit or take ownership that this transmission rebuilt never should have happened because of the year of vehicle and low mileage. More
