I went to MacIver Dodge looking to replace my vehicle after a car accident. I was lucky enough to have Mike Gregor as my sales person. He was helpful and friendly and never attempted to pressure me int after a car accident. I was lucky enough to have Mike Gregor as my sales person. We were very pleased with all aspects of our experience in purchasing a brand new Caravan at MacIver Dodge. Coming in with 2 young children makes decision-making very difficult, but our sales person (as w in purchasing a brand new Caravan at MacIver Dodge. Coming in with 2 young children makes decision-making very difficult, but our sales person (as well as several other staff) made it very easy for us to concentrate. The children were offered a movie to watch inside one of the new Caravans, as well as snacks and pizza - what more could kids ask for?! Our needs were very specific and our sales person considered every option in offering various vehicles to us within our price range. As such, we were able to choose which option made the most sense to us. My husband and I both greatly appreciated the no-nonsense, up-front price negotiations practiced at MacIver. There was none of the back-and-forth 'running to the manager for approval' at every turn. Regarding the negotiations of our trade-in vehicle, a fair price was offered straight off, that allowed us to take the offer without hesitation. Our experience left us feeling respected, with both sides feeling satisfied. I would not hesitate to recommend Paul Ferreira to a friend or colleague who is in the market for a new Dodge/Jeep vehicle. More

We are returning customers to MacIver. In 2008 we bought a new vehicle from Paul Ferrera and had a fabulous experience and got a good price. We returned when looking to purchase a new/used vehicle because a new vehicle from Paul Ferrera and had a fabulous experience and got a good price. We returned when looking to purchase a new/used vehicle because we had been so happy with our initial experience. We were looking for a used Dodge caravan and my husband had done a ton of research on both new and used Caravans including tons of price comparisons. There was a used vehicle of interest that he went in to see. He did not go to Paul Ferrera as the last time he had called to speak with him he was informed that Paul was working at a different dealership. He dealt with Gary in used cars, saw the vehicle that he had come for, agreed on a price and put down the $2000 deposit. Upon returning home to show me the pictures he realized that a 'Crew' tag was missing off of the tail gate. When he called Gary to inquire as to why, many different versions of the reasons surfaced ranging from the gate having a scratch and the tag not being put back, to the gate maybe being replaced, to 'we don't have to tell you anything if the damage was under $2000'. At this point my husband tried to back out of the deal as he didn't feel good about the purchase and lack of transparency and they refused to give the $2000 back (as the owner was on vacation and no one else could make that decision). It went down hill from there with calls from the used-car manager trying to change his mind and get him into a different vehicle - new or used. Essentially the $2000 was being held hostage. At this point we were transfered over to Paul Ferrera in new cars who was back to try to save the deal with a new vehicle. For the new vehicle we had a quote from the website unhaggle.com and a dealership in Mississauga who would match unhaggle's price. Paul was in an impossible situation with customers who felt as though they were being forced to negociate with terrosists who were holding our $2000 hostage, and taking over from colleagues who were angry as well. Getting the price matched was not an easy process on either side, however Paul was the one thing that kept us from taking the $2000 hit and taking our business elsewhere strictly on principal. He was between a rock and a hard place trying to save a deal, returning customers and the threat of getting OMVIC involved. Randy Carter (the new cars sales manager) and Paul worked together to match the price and use the customer service skills that had been SO lacking during the first part of the process to get us into a vehicle that we were happy with at a fair price. Would we buy another vehicle from MacIver? No way. But from Paul Ferrera - absolutely. We felt very betrayed by the horrific experience at MacIver, especially given that we were returning customers. After all was said and done and it was brought to the attention of the owner he spoke with me personally and listened to my concerns. Everyone was great AFTER the fact once the deal had been made. In summary after a really awful experience, Paul Ferrera (and Randy) enabled us to walk away with a vehicle that we were happy with, feeling as though we had gotten a fair price and been treated with respect in the end. It truly does take a great sales person with great skills to get a customer who had felt so angry to walk away feeling good about the end result. More
