Today, I went to the Nanaimo Honda dealership to have the driver-side window regulator on my wife's Honda CR-V replaced. The service advisor spoke in a rather cold tone, which made me feel uncomfortable, but driver-side window regulator on my wife's Honda CR-V replaced. The service advisor spoke in a rather cold tone, which made me feel uncomfortable, but I held back and explained the condition of the window before deciding to wait in the lounge. When I was told the repair was complete, I went back to the service desk and asked what I should do if the same issue happens again. This was already the third time I had brought the vehicle in for the exact same problem. The service advisor, however, casually told me that if the issue occurs again, I should no longer contact the dealership but instead reach out directly to Honda Canada. I couldn’t believe what I had just heard, so I asked again to be sure — but his response was the same. It made me wonder: if dealerships wash their hands of responsibility after selling the car and simply redirect customers to Honda Canada, then what's the point of buying from a dealership in the first place? And one more thing — I honestly felt that the service advisor might have been racist. The customers before and after me were white, and I noticed that he treated them with warmth and spoke kindly. But with me, he was curt and indifferent, barely offering any explanation. More
