We understand your frustration Jason. Moncton Chryslers Warranty Admin provided the OEM with digital imaging of your wheels to support a warranty claim. However, due to the nature of the damages to the wheels it was a denied claim. This is usually due to conditions where the claim is considered abnormal or there have been no other claims for the same issue on the same product. We appealed the decision in order to assist you but the OEM is firm this is not a warranty issue. With any warranty claim Moncton Chrysler is not empowered to make the decision if it is or isn't a valid warranty claim and all documentation for each claim is sent to the OEM. For any further resolution you would need to contact the manufacturer directly.

I am writing to follow up on the denied warranty claim concerning the premature corrosion and oxidation on all four factory rims of my 2024 Jeep Compass Limited Edition, purchased from Moncton Chrysler in may 2024. As I previously stated, these rims have seen minimal use — only approximately six months on the road — and have been carefully stored indoors during the winter months while a separate set of winter tires and rims were used. They were never exposed to harsh weather conditions during storage, and their condition is entirely inconsistent with what should be expected from OEM rims on a vehicle with only 13,000 km of use. I understand from Moncton Chrysler’s response that the claim was denied due to the damage being considered “abnormal” and not reflective of a broader product issue. However, I would like to respectfully question whether the full context specifically the proper indoor storage and minimal wear was clearly communicated to the OEM when this claim was submitted. Premature corrosion on nearly new rims, under these conditions, suggests a potential manufacturing or coating defect rather than misuse or neglect. I urge you to reconsider this matter and stand behind the quality of your product. Please advise if there is an additional step I can take to escalate this claim or provide further documentation (e.g., photos of the damage, storage details). I remain hopeful that Jeep and Moncton Chrysler will stand by their reputation for customer care and product reliability. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.
