If you value your time, your credit score, or basic honesty — stay far away from Midland Honda. My experience with this dealership — specifically with Josh Townsend and the rep at extension 313 — was an absolute embarrassment. The communication was chaotic, inconsistent, and flat-out unprofessional. Every single question I asked came back with a different answer, like nobody there knows what they’re doing or even cares. But here’s the part that crosses the line: 👉 I was clearly told the credit check would be a SOFT inquiry. 👉 I agreed only on that basis. 👉 And then? Midland Honda went ahead and ran a HARD inquiry on my Equifax file anyway — without my consent. When I called them out, they tried to feed me the weakest excuse imaginable: “We needed to verify your identity with Equifax.” That is complete nonsense. Equifax does not require a hard pull to “verify identity.” That excuse wasn’t a mistake — it was misleading, deceptive, and totally unacceptable. Now I’m left with a hard hit on my credit because of THEIR dishonesty. This dealership does not value transparency. They do not value their customers. And they definitely do not value your financial wellbeing. I will never do business with Midland Honda again — and if you’re reading this, consider this your warning: ✔️ Get everything in writing. ✔️ Do not trust verbal promises. ✔️ Double-check every single step. Because here, they will say one thing to your face and do the complete opposite behind your back. Absolutely unacceptable. More

When I picked the vehicle up a few days later, John was very thorough reviewing all the technical features with me and even took the time to link my phone and helped to enter some of my most frequently called numbers. I was treated (before and after sales) as though I had bought the most expensive vehicle on the lot. Also would like to thank Rocco, Christian, and Josh for their professionalism. Zero starts ought to be an option. Had a recall for fuel valve. Jennifer (service tech) said would only take 45mins. My Honda had winter tires on it. Went shopping across street and when I came back, she said “our technician broke a part of your car trying to remove gasket. It’s a known issue. This has happened to 5 other cars and we’ll need to keep you car indefinitely”. That was Dec2nd. They get me a rental, without snow tires, on the date of pickup. Had the biggest snowfall of the year. Honda Midland’s owner, Dick Davies, refused to credit me back the $407 fee for winter tires. After a long battle with Honda Canada, Dick Davies called me and ai calmly explained my dissatisfaction. He claimed no ownership and insinuated that I broke the car (that was in great shape when I dropped it off). Though I was calm and polite, he hung-up on me and texted me this. “ You are welcome! Please take your business somewhere else, for someone in business you are clueless! keep moaning to Honda” This, after I already told him the service there has always been good. Needless to say, he’s a pompous, arrogant person who can’t take the slightest critique that would help his dealership. Buyer beware. I recommend you drive the extra hour and go see Dan at Honda Barrie instead. Dick Davies, Peter B and Alan Sylvester (midland Honda) think of their customers as dollar signs and not as people. Was considering buying a Honda from a different brand dealer. It was certified but I took it to Midland Honda for a further once over. Was I ever glad I did. Wow..there were several leaks they found..to repair would have been about $2100..needless to say I did not buy the car. If it wasnt for Jennifer and her team I would have bought a car that would have drained my bank account. Thanks again to Jen and the team at Midland Honda More
