Over the course of two, separate service appointments, to fix an inexplicably difficult nav display problem, the response from staff at this dealership was outstanding! Yes, it took a long time long to fi fix an inexplicably difficult nav display problem, the response from staff at this dealership was outstanding! Yes, it took a long time long to finally resolve the issue, but the team was very determined and dedicated and did solve the problem, to my great satisfaction. Along the way, every friendly accommodation and consideration was offered and sincerely appreciated. Thank you! Recommended! More
My first experience purchasing and using a Mercedes-Benz product was through this dealership and while the sales experience was wonderful and the service personnel have been very accommodating for service i product was through this dealership and while the sales experience was wonderful and the service personnel have been very accommodating for service issues, my experience with my first Mercedes-Benz product has been completely abysmal. In the first six months of ownership my vehicle has incurred 40+% in service costs in comparison to the original sales price. I have been without my car for 1.5 of the six months I’ve had the car, meaning I have made four loan payments for a piece of equipment I didn’t even have. I emailed one of the folks who helped with the original sale to list out an itemized list of all the issues that have occurred in the last six months and not even joking, the response included the following “welcome to German luxury lol”. I have brought my vehicle back for the fourth time for the same issue and was advised they finally fixed the issue, only for an engine issue to come up for a component of the engine the “ultimate” warranty won’t cover. Given the exorbitant costs already incurred and the fact I have only had around three weeks of 6 months where I didn’t have an issue, I expressed my disappointment with the sales and management teams and indicated I wanted either a for-like trade or the current repairs to be handled without further cost incurrence to me. While the staff said the right words trying to empathize with my disgust at having so many issues for what is clearly a lemon vehicle, they refuse to cover this new issue. I am being held hostage in this situation now because, if I don’t get this non-warranty-covered issue fixed, it could lead to the failure of components that are covered by warranty but the terms and conditions of the warranty indicate that they could deny a future claim, indicating I did not take appropriate steps to keep the vehicle in a good state. I repeatedly indicated to the staff that my frustrations are not a judgment in all Mercedes products. I simply have a lemon. However regional management seems to dismiss all this and offers a paltry discount that still leaves me out of pocket for over $1,200 in new repair costs that I simply can’t not repair because I risk a much much higher cost that warranty would not cover due to “negligence”. At this point I will never, ever, ever purchase another vehicle from here and never, ever purchase a Mercedes product again. Beware, the advertised “German luxury” and “German engineering quality” is a complete farce. More
Like the vehicles - hate the Service Department. I spoke with 3 separate Mercedes owners this past week and we all had horror stories about the service department. The car lasted less then a month not even 400km on it with the same problem happening again. I can't get in touch with the service rep he'll be back 4 days from now. Even though I left a message and email 6 days before, and talked to someone the day before this saying I'd get called back. No he's not in but O I can set up an appointment to bring the car in mid to early March FFS. It's not a it runs wrong thing right now, it doesn't xxx move. If this xxxx isn't resolved soon I'll have to tow it some other mechanics. Then I'll contact the better business bureau and if something is found wrong start some legal fillings to get my money back. My first time going to these chumps and however this ends my last. More
I have purchased or leased six cars from Winnipeg Mercedes over the last five years, the cars are stunning, the service department on the other hand is less than stunning. The sales process 5 stars,, Mercedes over the last five years, the cars are stunning, the service department on the other hand is less than stunning. The sales process 5 stars,, the finance office 5 stars, service department 1 star. Over the years I had been a very loyal Mercedes’ enthusiast , the service is in a word brutal. When you do have problems they will tell you they apologize and it will not happen again, over and over again. A premium car, a premium dealership sub par service department. After a long run with this brand I am going to switch my loyalty. This is very difficult to do because the cars are so fantastic. More

I should have written this review a long time ago. My story with Merceded Benz Winnipeg started five years ago, when I went to buy a Mercedes USV. They didn't have the specs I wanted and told me they would not get it from another dealer. So, I checked other dealers and found what I wanted in another province. I bought the SUV and brought it back to Manitoba. Because the car was under warranty and there are no other Mercedes dealers in the province, I had to service my car at this dealership. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I’ve had problems with the service department at least 80% of the time, and all the problems stem from poor communication!! For example, they tell you they will contact you once the car is ready, but they never do. I always bring my vehicle in between 7:30 and 8 am, but no one calls until I phone them at 3 pm to ask if the vehicle is ready, even though they state that labor time is usually 2-3 hours. When I ask about the service advisors, they are either on lunch break or not at the desk most of the time. When I ask them to call me back, they don't call or may call after 45 minutes. Moreover, they will tell you that your car needs a part replaced and that they will call you when the parts are here, but they don't. They used to have problems with appointment bookings. One time the advisor declined to accept my car because he didn't have me on his list even though I booked it online. The funny thing was when he told me that my appointment was the following Monday, which happened to be a provincial holiday and the dealership was closed! They also used to have a shuttle, but I have been told they don't have it anymore due to COVID restrictions. I know the shuttle driver, and I always see him there waiting to take or drive customers out of the service shop. Maybe it's for VIP customers! Today, they took it to another level. I had to call at 2 pm to ask if my car was ready. I was told my service advisor was on a lunch break, so I asked the lady if my car was ready. She checked and said yes. So I went to pick it up, but I was standing and waiting for someone to say hi and acknowledge me. Eventually, a service advisor came from somewhere and told me someone would be with me shortly. Another advisor came, but he was busy with something else. A gentleman came and stood beside me, waiting for an advisor. After a few minutes, the guy who told me to wait came and talked to the busy advisor and told him to help the man who came after me!! Eventually, I had to speak to the van service advisor and ask him to help me. The only reason I gave the extra star is because of the Manager, Ms. Borton, who tries to fix these problems when I call her. But this is getting ridiculous. I'm tired of needing to talk to her to get things fixed or better explained. In short, if I didn’t like my SUV or there was another Mercedes service shop, I would stop going to Mercedes Benz Winnipeg. More
