Not honest I bought my car used from Whitby Honda last Christmas, it is 2014 CR-V with 46,000K and still has one year of warranty. After couple of days of buyin I bought my car used from Whitby Honda last Christmas, it is 2014 CR-V with 46,000K and still has one year of warranty. After couple of days of buying the car; it started to make grinding sound for a sec, after starting. The sound happen only once; first time you start the car in Cold days. After searching on Honda site and the internet; it turn out that vtc actuator gear need to be changed; it is a defect well known in CR-V and Accord. the issue has a service bulletin on Honda site. https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/acms/cs/jaxrs/download/doc/UCM501010/SB-10041669-7570.pdf OK, since I leave in Mississauga; I called Meadwavale Honda for appointment; I showed them a recorded video with sound of grinding very clear… First they insist it is not the vtc gear, -: it could be caused because of the starter or any other thing. You need to keep the car overnight so we could test it at the morning. =: Ok what if it is a warm day and it didn’t do the grinding sound? -: Well we will return it, because we failed to re generate the problem. -: and it will cost you 120$ =: why? -: this will be the cost of car diagnostics. =: but my car is under warranty? -:if the cause of the issue is under warranty it will be fixed for not cost; but to know the cause you need to pay a diagnostics fees. =: so I will pay 120 so you could listen to my car at the morning?? -: if you don’t like to pay diagnostic fees you could take your car back to Whitby Honda. While arguing with the service “Advisor” one of the mechanic came out of the garage to ask the advisor, about some other car; & the Advisor told him” ok Change the oil only but don’t change filter, don’t take any filters from part departments “ the discussion between the mechanic and advisor made me feel that these people are not honest enough to leave my car to them. I took my car to Mississauga Honda; my God totally different standard; to the extend I thanked the advisor before I even get my car fixed. Mississauga Honda; in less the two minutes of stepping inside the dealership, they saw my video. Yes sir this vtc actuator, this part is a major part sir is not under three warranty it is 5 years warranty. The part we don’t have it in stoke; we have to order it from the nearest warehouse and get it for you. it will be delivered overnight; We think it will be available tomorrow. You could leave your car so we could work on it once the part is delivered and take a rental till your car is fixed free of charge. Second day they called early morning to give me update about the car… Glad that I didn’t service at Meadwavale Honda More

Great Customer Service Dave has been taking care of mine & my dad's car all the time. There are time that I did not call for an appointment, and he is able to squeeze me in Dave has been taking care of mine & my dad's car all the time. Scam artists, and negligent Stay away from these negligent scam artists. 2 stories: 1a. Took in my Accord for repair. The body shop estimated 7 days to fix. So I was given a l Stay away from these negligent scam artists. 2 stories: 1a. Took in my Accord for repair. The body shop estimated 7 days to fix. So I was given a loaner from Discount rental. Meadowvale Honda would cover costs of rental. 1b. Months later, Discount charged me for the rental. It took me close to one month to get my money back. MH was less than helpful in the effort, and continuously blamed the rental company. 2a. Bought a used Civic recently. Took the car home. Next morning, realized 2 of the 3 keys did not work. 2b. Brought keys and car back to MH. The service team was less than helpful. Finally told me that the 2 keys that did not work, belonged to a DIFFERENT car altogether. How this could have happened is beyond me. It's mind blowing. I recommend that buyers/sellers/customers looking for a service centre, look elsewhere. MH is disorganized, negligent and unable to compete in a market that requires some level of professional attitude. More
